    • great desk for the money, perfect for a home office, large bedroom or dorm.
I actually really like this desk and it exceeded my expectation at the price mark. During assembly I was a little concerned with how flimsy it was feeling, but once together it is pretty damn sturdy. I can confirm that when assembled correctly the "L Shape" cannot be reversed and is exactly as you see in the photo. I suppose you could reverse it but that would mean the front legs of the long piece would be backward. The desk is a little smaller in total length than I expected from the photos but big enough for a small home office, I currently have a dual monitor system and laptop set up and still plenty of room to spare. Also, the connecting round corner piece which make it an "L shape" is floating, meaning that there is no leg underneath the support it. It basically sits on brackets on either side of the other two pieces, so It can not handle a lot of weight. A monitor would be fine, but I worry that anything heaver than say 20lbs on that once piece would probably rack it right off. The desk top has a slight textured feel to it which is great,seems to be some type of wrap that actually goes around the particle board. But it feels premium and is scratch resistant. Assembly: The desk is pretty easy to put together and there are a minimal amount of pieces to worry about, took me about an hour total from un-boxing to full assembly at a leisure pace with a bathroom break in between. One note that I have on assembly are the long screws that holds the table tops and front board to the rails. If you look at how they actually screw in to the pre-drilled holes before you start you will notice that there are some plastic white "caps" with a screw head underneath, and this is what the screws actually bite in to. One issue I faced was that the holes on the white caps were obviously misaligned with the holes in the wood, probably from movement during shipping. So that if you were to try and put the screw it, it would actually bite on to anything. If you have a problem putting the screws in, try turning the white cap heads a little with a key or your finger to align the hole, it requires some patience but you will get it. I assembled with a power drill, if you go this route be very careful and drill slowly as the power form the drill can easily crack the wood and/or bed the aluminum posts.     • Super simple, yet worth the money
This desk does its job as a desk. Personally, I would love more space on my desk to hold more stuff. However, this desk holds exactly what I need on it and can be arranged to my liking without looking cluttered. In fact, I believe the lack of extra space helps to keep to the amount of items, one tends to just leave on their desk, off the desk. By no means is the desk small, in fact it fits comfortably in the corner of my room and doesn't take up too much room, even in that space. As for leg room, it's got plenty for me. Especially when I play piano. However, this is completely dependent on your personal setup. Since the desk can be installed in two variations, the amount of leg room can vary if you put it flush against a wall where there is a wall on both sides of the desk. Easy to assemble for the most part. I had to get used to screwing in the screws into the white plugs in the wood in the beginning. But after about 4 of those, I got the swing of things. The desk is all smooth and finished wood, the legs are metal and it's entirely black, making it sturdy and able to work well with most room designs. This is a simple yet worthy desk. For those looking for something of a stepping stone before their official upgrade to bigger and better. Or for those who just need a desk to hold them down without breaking bank, this is your desk. ... show more

    • Check the dimensions!
This is definitely you get what you pay for. Set up was pretty easy, I finished building it in under a hour, the desk is "sturdy enough" but likes to separate itself here and there, but adding more things on top will probably help. Double check those dimensions, I wish I did, my old home depot foldable table I used was about 24 inches in depth? This is a lousy 19 inches and while that isn't a huge deal breaker, my keyboard is right up against my 27 inch monitor and the monitors feels more in my face than I'm used to. I'm going to look into getting a VESA arm mount for it to give me back some desk space but the desk's press board is only a half a inch thick and I'm very worried the clamp from the mount will break it, which means I need a 2x4 piece of wood to secure it and now I'm adding extra wood to this new desk, I'll try it without the extra wood first but I'm sure I'll need it.. One other complaint is if you have a medium or larger pc tower you have to place it to the side of the desk or use up alot of desk space to place it on top, there is no practical space underneath the desk. This desk seems to be made with All in one PCs or Laptops in mind. The box was pretty much melted in the rain thanks to the post office leaving it in the wet weather so I'm stuck with it. Thankfully the desk itself wasn't water damaged. If you're OK with the dimensions it's a decent desk for $100. Great for small rooms, Laptops and all in one computers. Plus it looks nice overall, it had a very clean look. But if your a PC gamer like myself with a 27 inch monitor, Joysticks, HOTAS and a beast of a computer tower, move on becsuse this desk isn't enough. ... show more

    • Set up wasn't fun, but it was worth it!

For the setup, I suggest having someone help you. Just to, like, help hold things together and whatnot. I put it together alone and it was an awkward mess...but I did it! Here are some notes from me to others less build-ey things inclined: The directions were more or less clear: Pay attention to how you put the little plastic screw-in things (part 6 I think). Make sure they are inserted cross up! It comes with a cute little screwdriver. Make sure to not tighten everything until you're done and if you can use a power drill. Around step three and four you're going to be like "This is not looking stable and I've wasted my money." KEEP BUILDING. After an hour or so of swearing and losing my mind, I have created this awesome desk. It's sturdy, dance looking, a great size, and I feel so much more comfortable with my combined workspace. And even though I'm whining about the setup don't let it deter you. If you have to you can build it alone. It's worth it! :) ... show more
