  • Sturdy and Attractive!
Color: Gray Size: 10X13 FT
The first thing I noticed was that the fabric was quite a bit heavier than I was expecting! Next, since I am a short, handicapped, 67 yr old woman with NO help, I had to plan my "attack" on installing this monster! Fortunately there were very few instructions to confuse the process so after a quick glance of how things fit together, I was able to "improvise"...substituting for those 2 extra bodies with some rope and a few bungee straps! (Relax!!! I do have 30+ years of construction experience) I first put together 1 of the short sides (nearest the 16' high end of my deck), then attached 1 long rail to a 3rd column (This is where the bungee cords came in....holding the rail in place while I was getting the 3rd post lined up) I wasn't crazy about having to temporarily secure each post with a framing nail but in lieu of someone to help hold the post in place, that worked! So, now with the 2 sides rails up that are next to my 2nd story deck railing, I was ready to move to the inside rails....and my 3rd glass of wine! Those 2 rails went up without a hitch, but I was still only on my 4' step ladder! Now, for the top! I managed to drag my 6' ladder from the garage to the deck and proceeded to assemble the top frame. It helps greatly IF you do NOT tighten down the rails completely when assembling the rectangular outer frame. You'll need a little "play" to get the top frame in place. I loosely attached the "screwed" down bars, 1 on each long side and then inserted the longer bars in each of the 4 corners, then went back to place the other 2 shorter screw down bars (and to retrieve another glass of wine!) Then I went around the whole frame with my 3 ft. level, making sure that all my posts were plumb while tightening every screw! Next! Putting on the fabric top! So, but this time I've nearly had enough wine to spend the next HOUR stretching the canvas over the frame....working off my 6' ladder....tugging and twisting,up and down the ladder trying to keep the hooks in place while I stretch the canvas over a few more feet! FINALLY, the hard part....DONE. MORE WINE, then I hang the screens and curtains, once again, check for plumb, drill pilot holes in my deck and screw the post bases to the deck! (Oh, and drink more wine!) So, don't believe all the horror stories you may read. This installation was a breeze.....even for a lone OLD lady who has enough screws in clamps in her back to build a small deck of it's own! Oh, total time to construct....about 6 1/2 hours. ... show more

  • Backyard oasis in a box
Color: Gray Size: 10X13 FT
First I have to thank the seller for being so responsive. When this very large, long, and heavy box arrived it was a little dinged up. We took everything out and inventoried everything. Luckily all the pieces were there. One of the poles was badly dented in two spots. I contacted the seller and the very next day they sent us a new pole. The assembly was a little confusing at some points because it just has pictures. All in all it wasn't bad. My husband and I pit most of it together by ourselves I enlisted the kids to help with lifting the top canopy into place. I think it took as about 2-3 hours to get it together. We screwed it down to the deck where we have it. I would highly recommend doing this if you live anywhere that it rains lol. This thing is study but very light. I was able to position it where I wanted on the deck by myself. Once it was screwed down it doesn't move. The day after we put it up we had heavy rain and wind and it didn't go anywhere. It's too early to tell how long it will last. So far am very happy with how beautiful it looks and how sturdy it is. I will update my review after we have had it a while. ... show more

  • good customer service
Update: the seller reached out to get us the parts. I’m very excited—with the beautiful weather the last few days, I’ve been longing to work from our patio and this will keep me from baking in the sun while I do! We loved the gazebo! It wasn't too difficult for two people to assemble, it was attractive, and it provided great sun protection. It was even fairly waterproof. Unfortunately it didn't withstand a recent windstorm, which blew it about 20 feet and caused most of the brackets to bend (some formerly straight brackets are now u-shaped even--not sturdy at all!). I tried emailing the company through their website but never heard back, and we can't find comparable parts in our local hardware store. If we could get replacement brackets, we definitely would buy and install them so we could enjoy the gazebo again. In the meantime, however, it's on its side in the middle of our lawn looking pretty sad. We'll have to get a special trash pickup day for it since the legs are way too long to fit in our trash bins. We haven't even had it a year yet. :( ... show more

  • Not My First Gazebo
Color: Gray Size: 10X13 FT
I’ve owned many over the years and had them for long amounts of time. If well taken care of and maintained they last a long time. It is very sturdy, easy to assemble. Don’t leave the fabric on it in the winter, it HAS to come off and be stored or the entire thing will collapse. I’ve taken the canopy off every one I’ve owned durning the winter. Remember the frame is aluminum not steel. The legs MUST have weight on them or screwed into the concrete or deck. It will blow over if not. I bought velcro weights and filled them with sand. 50lb per leg and it does very well. The stakes included won’t keep it secure. You CANNOT set this up alone it takes a minimum of 2 people. Mine has been up for a month now and been through spring rains and storms. It has kept most things under it dry and the weep holes in the canopy help to keep the weight of heavy rains from collapsing the top in. I would buy another one. ... show more

  • Don’t waste your money.
Color: Hardtop Size: 10X12 FT
This gazebo seemed very unstable from the beginning. The metal was soft, if that makes sense. It would bend easily with any kind of movement while building it. We needed 4 people to build it but once it was finally up it was beautiful. The roof filtered the light nicely so it was never too dark but protected from the sun. However less than 2 months and it is twisted in my backyard. A storm came through and I found it like the pictures in my backyard. I felt that this gazebo had good reviews for the money so I purchased it. It is not worth the money at all. I could have put that $700 toward a better option . I highly recommend you purchase a more sturdy model. You get what you pay for 😔 ... show more
