After reading all of the horror stories and looking at people's blown over light duty gazebos, I was worried about what I was going to get. I wanted 3 things from my purchase: 1. Weight 2. Logical framing 3. Thick corner legs with holes in the feet to secure to a surface. 4. Not be damaged in shipping Check for all four! The product has a substantial weight (by temporary gazebo standards) of roughly 90lbs, the structure is well thought out and has bracing (double screws vs single at key intersections) one would expect of something a bit more expensive. The corner legs are round not square, and have wide feet with screw holes. Installation is straight forward if you can follow picture descriptions, and takes about 2 hours if you have 2 sets of hands. Once assembled, the product feels sturdy under it's own weight. Make sure you have the canopy the right direction when installing so you don't rip some of the seams at the top vent. I screwed the gazebo to my deck, and it has not budged in the couple of thunderstorms and windy days since installation (we have yet to experience the corner flaps lifting in the wind some mentioned). I must stress that the canopy is weather resistant and not water proof, so depending on how much rain you get at a time and how much wind comes with it, things will get wet under it (either around the perimeter or from the rain drains and top vent). That said, if you sit in the middle, you could certainly sit under it during an evening rain with the insect nets closed and enjoy your time while remaining dry. I wish the overhead structure had a hook for hanging items as some others do, but that didn't stop me from installing a 15lb fan anyway. No issues at full tilt and it doesn't rock the structure at all. Overall, my family and I are quite satisfied with this purchase and feel we got more than we paid for. I do feel sorry for those that received a damaged product, installed in less than ideal locations/situations resulting in weather related damage, or couldn't figure out how to complete the installation properly. This is not a luxury gazebo, and nothing is at this price point. However, if your situation is ideal for it, it's a bargain for what you get. ... show more

I usually buy gazebo's at Lowe's or Home Depot. They were sold out so I looked on Amazon. This gazebo was less expensive so I was concerned about quality. It was delivered promptly and in great shape. My son and I easily put it together in 90 minutes. It was by far, the easiest gazebo I've ever put together. Some can be a real hassle. I think it looks great and it seems just as sturdy as Lowe's or Home Depot. I'm actually sitting in it right now writing this review. We have very high winds here in the winters so these lower budget gazebos only last 2 or 3 seasons after taking the roof canopy off of course during the windy months. so to me, I appreciate the low cost and easy assembly since I'm doing it every 3-4 years. After months of extensively searching for a gazebo - and reading reviews - I decided to purchase this Grand Patio one. It's been up a few weeks and it's simply GORGEOUS. Everyone who sees it says it just "upped my yard to RICH PEOPLE STATUS"! LOL Love that. It's well made and NOT ROCKET SCIENCE to put together, as my 20 yr old son did it alone - w/ some "lifting help" at points from my husband. Both are tall dudes so no issue. Took about 3 hrs total to put together because they laid all the pieces out first and took inventory...then were being REALLY PATIENT with each piece, and CAREFUL not to scratch anything. When you need extra support and don't have extra "people", they used the help of our 6ft fence to lean portions on while erecting. The top section was a little tricky to put on, but they were VERY careful not to rip it. Gotta tell ya though....I'm SO THANKFUL to the reviewers...SO many great tips...anyone interested in buying this should read and take heed! SO many great tips and advice. The first thing we did was do as another reviewer did - buy a marine "water proofer", put it in a garden sprayer and sprayed the bejesus out of it BEFORE the first rainfall. Let me TELL YOU - water BEADS OFF OF IT! ZERO absorption - you can even sit out there during a rainstorm. Secondly - a reviewer recommended sewing a chain through the bottom so it does not blow in wind. GREAT IDEA - and the next thing we will be doing. We live on Long Island - a block from water - so we get SERIOUS wind, all the time. As of now, we have not anchored it properly, and it has not budged, but we will be doing that this week. For now, we zip tied it to 4 heavy iron chairs - but it's been totally fine. And...as far as the reviewer who added grommets for water draining - GREAT IDEA, but honestly - if you just spray a waterproofer on the canopy, the water will NEVER puddle and stretch out your canopy - it rolls off. It's crazy to watch in a rain storm. Beads of water the size of marbles! It rained literally 4 days after we put our's up - but I did my homework - and it rained FOR FOUR DAYS STRAIGHT - not a divot, not a pull, not a NOTHING in that fabric! Just puddles all over the floor!
