I Located unit inside trailer facing the vent. Had to build a bracket for it. Unit located easily the first time during set up. Will definately update this review if it fails to locate once every 25 hours. I Waited 6 months before installing & activating unit. I Downloaded app that is associated with unit...calamp. It has a geofence option (with email/text notification) on the website but I CAN'T apply it to this unit. ☹ I Can "enable/disable starter" on app & website.... I assume that is a "real time" tracking function but it doesn't work (communicate with unit) while the unit is in sleep mode. Unit comes with a phone number & email address to activate real time tracking if device/trailer is stolen. I don't know if its a 24-hour number... Small magnet needs to be removed to activate this unit (No problem). Magnet rusts if left on unit (to keep it turned off). Awesome customer service. Calls are answered & routed quickly. Problems are solved immediately. ... show more

    • I instructions. Not Good!
1) the instructions are difficult to understand. Most of it doesn’t even make sense. 2) the magnet doesn’t work. 3) I thought this didn’t need a phone plan. But apparently the GPS tracker will not power up without a SIM card. And all this before I could even get it started working. Is there an app I need to download? Well I wouldn’t know because the instructions doesn’t say so. Confused! ... show more

Works good. When it works. Signed up for daily alerts, I don’t receive alerts daily. Some days I do some days I don’t. Called customer service and said it was due to the two minute window the device activates daily and if it is able to read location. But it’s wierd because my trailer is at a storage location and not moved but somedays I get notifications and most days I don’t, trailer doesn’t move an inch. ... show more

    • Item is not as the picture …s sun or water resistant
This item is not as describe …it’s not water resistant is not sun resistant …to weakfor weather ….this item has to installed under the trailer other wise it won’t work for more than a week …I bough 4 of this and only one worked …if you have trailers I don’t recommend to use this system is not what you need …also the tech guy made go to a Walmart so he can look on one of the devices and once I put the review up he called me yelling and pushing to take the review down …I have never had such a bad experience with Amazon in my 4 years ... show more

Decided online to purchase this unit and the company called us and made sure that how were mounting and what we were intending to get out of using this unit matched. We actually ended up purchasing a slightly different one as a result and were so glad we did. Great value for the peace of mind to track our boat. Can't say anything about battery life yet since it's only been a few months but will update if there's any issues in the future. ... show more

Sent back for repair after it quit tracking and rapid battery decline. Now unable to contact the company for a repair update or replacement. Been over 6 months.

It’s not exactly like the photo it’s round however it’s pretty sturdy and it is functioning right now the battery was supposed to last for five years but right now it’s at 80%
