Great product. Easy to install, good quality, many colors, and gives the area it's installed in a nice look. That being said... I think the Govee app could use some redesigning. Some colors/specific shades are very hard to find and some options like automatic turn off are a bit confusing. I used the Govee desktop app and noticed the color selection there is a little easier, has more variety (for some reason?) and there's even some shades you CAN'T get on the mobile app. Overall, these are good RGB LED light strips that will do their job well, but if color variety and other more specific aspects are very important to you, I would go for RGBIC strips instead. ... show more

Think I paid $15 for the 16’ one with coupon. Ridiculously easy to install and app is first class. Used it for under medicine cabinets in bathroom. Wish I got a longer one as not quite bright enough for 8’ width but so cheap might just pull out and install longer one. Just run it back and forth until out of strip. The media could not be loaded. I like the customization of the lights. They are decently bright and you have a nice amount of control with them. I thought the entire light stripe was lit up but it’s only certain points in the strip that have a light so instead of a smooth solid beam of light it’s several small orbs of light. This would be great for backlighting but it’s not what i was looking for when placing it behind my screen. I wanted solid color and not orbs. Also not sure what happened but part of the light strip is faulty. The color green seems to not work so it is not matching with the rest of the strip. The Govee Smart WiFi LED Strip Lights are more frustrating than functional. While they promise a vibrant and customizable lighting experience, the reality is plagued by connectivity issues and poor app performance. The lights often disconnect from WiFi, and the app frequently crashes or fails to apply settings correctly. The adhesive on the back of the strips is weak, leading to them falling off surfaces. Additionally, the color accuracy is subpar, with some hues appearing washed out or different from what’s displayed in the app. For a product that’s supposed to enhance ambiance, the Govee LED Strip Lights create more hassle than atmosphere. ... show more

    • Dimmest LED strip lights I’ve ever had :(

I have a number of LED strip lights from various manufacturers including Govee, but these are pretty much terrible. At their brightest, to notice that they’re actually on without staring directly at the individual LEDs I need a windowless room with all lights off. I have other Govee lights that are great! They’re bright with vivid colors, but these…just do yourself a favor and pass. There are better lights at a similar price point. These at their brightest are barely able to reach the dimmest level of my multiple other Govee lights. Govee should market these as night, guide lights. As in, you install them as a runner along the sides of stairs or along your baseboards in the hallway so you know where the sides are, but don’t actually provide any useful light to see if the kids dropped a Lego or something larger like left their power wheels vehicle parked in the dead center of a narrow hallway (maybe a bit of a stretch, maybe?). Needless to say, I’m very disappointed in these and that’s having experience with a good number of quality to very cheap, no name LED strip lights. I would definitely buy a no name brand over these, granted you’d still be rolling the dice, but at least they wouldn’t be guaranteed to be terrible like these. Govee should honestly drop these from their lineup. They make some great LED lights, but these are not them. These would definitely make me not buy anything Govee again if they had been the first lights from them that I had purchased. Seriously Govee. If you’re reading this, these tarnish your reputation. Drop them. It would be better to have nothing at this price point than to have something like these that a first time buyer purchases and thinks your brand quality is garbage as a result, when I know from my personal experience with your other offerings that you have some great products. ... show more
