To hold the vertical handle in place, there are two (2) nuts welded to the frame. They included a little wrench to help secure the screws. However....as you wind the screws in with the idea that they will poke through the wall of the vertical, square tube, you find out that they cannot, due to the poor workmanship of whomever welded the nuts in place. As you can see in the picture, the hole in the nut, doesn't align with the hole in the frame. As a result, you wind in the screws as tight as they go, and the handle simply pops out of the frame as if the screws were not even there. Then....as you attempt to back out the tightly engaged screws to see why on earth it will not work, the cheap, pot-metal Allen key wrench rounds over. The baskets barely engage with the prongs provided on the frame, when the basket slides to one side or the other. With any weight in the basket at all, the upper one would drop. The "Antique Black Finish" is a very poorly applied combination of black paint wiped over a copper base finish to try and make it look attractively worn. The outcome however is something that looks like a 7th grade metal shop project. Very tacky. To charge this much money for a product of such low quality is just wrong. In addition, it's an absolute nightmare to rebox it to send this disappointing, piece of overpriced junk back. ... show more

Love this thing (General Store)! It's a great size - can sit on the counter without taking up TOO much counter space, but it has ample storage capacity. I recently signed up for a produce delivery service and was inundated with an avalanche of avocados and apples all over my counters. This is the perfect solution! Stores everything nicely and ertically, allows circulation so the fruit doesn't go bad, and the base doesn't take up too much counter space - I can still use that area for meal prep. (That white thing in the photo is the only ruler in the house I could find - has the presidents on one side and the beginning of Declaration on the other! :D ) Little assembly required - and it comes with the two screws and Allen wrench you need so you don't have to run to the toolbox to assemble. A tiny bit of the black paint was chipped off when it arrived, but I don't care. I'm keeping it and you can hardly notice. ... show more

Upon pulling the parts for the base out, I grabbed something sharp. It was paint flaking off of the RUSTED metal. I wanted to overlook this and hope the baskets themselves are made of better material, but I’m VERY concerned about putting food in a rusted fruit basket. While continuing to assemble (since I was pondering if I should keep this or not) I noticed there was black powder all over my hands. That was unfortunately the last straw for me. Really wanted to love this product and I’ve never had anything faulty from Mikasa. Side note: the side bars are bent, one of the baskets is crooked, and the whole thing won’t sit flat. The only positives to this basket is that it looks very pretty and is easy to assemble. Very disappointed - do not recommend for storing food. Maybe it would be good for holding plants or something not edible. Will be returning. ... show more

I love this! We have an older home with low cabinets, but it still fit perfectly. The listed measurements were very accurate. I am thinking of buying another one to keep everything up off the floor/counters.

So the baskets were a little smaller than expected but that's on me for not paying attention (I only measured for total height). Otherwise, GREAT product! We've recently started eating healthier and our old fruit & vegetable bowl, while quite large, isn't containing more than about 1/3 of what we have in fresh fruits and vegetables now. This product is a good looking and functional addition to our kitchen, and fits just under our cabinets. I wanted to purchase two but only got one to see how it would work. It was delivered today and I set it up right away. My husband just saw it and said, "I love that!" - we just ordered two more :-) ... show more

I'm giving it 3 stars bc I had to return twice almost 3 times to finally get a good paint job. But I decided to keep this set bc I didnt want to risk getting a bad paint job again. The rest were rusty. But I finally got the right pair and I'm happy.

I have been looking for something to hold my k-cups for quite awhile. We have a variety of k-cups as my wife and I like different types of coffee. I found this and it was the perfect size, at least according to the description. I decided to give it a try so I bought one and when it came I put it together. One of the screws holding the two sections together wouldn't go in, but since the other went in okay, I figured it was okay as I wouldn't be lifting it up. It holds a lot of k-cups which is what I wanted it for. My only wish is that It would have come with some clear plastic dividers that would allow me to split the baskets and allow me to have different pods in each bin. ... show more
