6'6' MH rod. Not as stiff as my Ardito travel rod, but at less than half the price, it is solid. Enough backbone to catch bigger fish. Very similar feel to my TFO rods, so it's a good value. I purchased the 8ft MH and 7ft Med action rods and I am more than satisfied. I have the 8ft paired with an Okuma Trio 4000 and the 7ft paired with a Okuma Trio 3000. I have used the 8ft beach fishing catching several Jacks, Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel. I can easily cast a 1oz spoon or swimbait, even though the rod is 4 pieces it rarely needs adjusted. And the 7ft has great sensitivity along with a good backbone. The only complaint is the guides are micro, especially the tip. I usually use braid with a floro leader joined by a double uni knot but the tip guide is so small the knot has a hard time passing through smoothly. I just spooled up with strait mono and it worked well. The pictures above were all caught on my last trip on the 7ft rod. Caught a few decent redfish, jacks, and a unexpected spotted gar while fishing in brackish water, also caught several ladyfish, mangrove snapper, spotted trout and small snook. The rods travel well, and I am actually able to fit the 7ft rod in the tube with the 8ft so I only have to travel with 1 tube. I was a bit hesitant ordering these rods, I was looking at the Okuma Citrix but I am pleasantly surprised and I plan to purchase a few more for my future travels. 2 years later I am still using the same rod and reel combos with zero issues. I pack them in my checked bag everytime I head down to Florida on fishing trips which is multiple times a year. Just got back and caught a slob of a Jack Crevalle on my 7ft M action. It literally pulled the boat around and stripped almost all my line off the reel multiple times and the rod handles flawlessly. Added a additional picture above! ... show more

After opening the box, the first word that came to my mind was "Wow!". Then I started to unwrap this awesome looking rod. I know it's 8pm but I had thoughts of going fishing.😎 After a bad experience with my previous order, rod tip shaft was broken. Evidently, during the packaging process. So I decided to shop a little more and I came across this GOTURE. The reviews were outstanding and this rod actually cost less than my previous purchase, which I returned. I must say, I couldn't be happier with my decision to change routes. I mean, check out the presentation, and the handy travel tube with the strap is a winner in itself. I bought this travel rod for a fishing trip last year that didn't end up happening. I finally got to use it this week down in the Florida Keys. Everything seemed ok for awhile. Then all of a sudden a fish hit and the rod broke clean in half. It didn't even end up being a big fish. This rod must not actually be carbon fiber because of the clean break. I did buy it because of the value, but it should be able to handle a 16" fish. My advice, steer clear. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I really wrestle with price vs quality in searching for a travel rod. My family and I and moving to Costa Rica this year and having the right gear was super important to me. I decided on the Goture 10’ Absolute steal. Came brand new just as advertised. Tested it out that night and the next morning lol. I was initially leary of the weight because fully assembled it seemed pretty light for what I planned to land with it. It really does have an above average backbone. I plan on purchasing a 15’ rod as well. Great Quality materials. The inside of the cap is padded as well for protecting your rod tips. Check out Florida Fishing Collective online. Starting this summer I plan on putting the rods to the test every day in CR. Super excited about the 15’ travel Surf Rod. rod was too thin for me. I actually had a different rod of theirs as well that was thicker than this one and the tip snapped from a pull test lol not sure if I trust goture. I didn't have confidence to keep it.
