  • This is a great tent. Very heavily built
Size: 4'x8'
This is a great tent. Very heavily built, with excellent design and materials. (Note that the tent pictured is a 4X4 tent, not the 8X4.) My only actual complaint about this tent is that they could have used better sippers. These sippers are very heavy duty, but have a tendancy to to sit flat, which can make them hard to zip. I've developed a technique to help, but it's still occasionally frustrating. Just get YKK and be done with it! There are minor pinhole punctures on the stitching that are not light tight, but this is a VERY minor problem. I have about 100,000 lumens in my tent, and if the grow lights are on, and the room is pitch black, I can make out a few of the stitch lines if I've been in the dark for a while. Which means that this tent would probably be OK outside in full-sunlight, which it isn't. Standing inside the tent with it entirely sealed and dark, and room lights on, I had to sit in there for about 10 minutes before I was able to see any light at all, and even then, it was very faint. I feel perfectly comfortable turning the room lights on when the tent is in it's night cycle. Otherwise, this tent is the best I've used. the air-flow design options are awesome, as are the power and water. I even did pull-ups from the top support beams. (Note, check which beams are the load-bearing beams before you do this. My friend did the same thing and bent the joint slightly, but he's 200 lbs, and did it from one bar, not the support bar. He barely bent it, it he subjected it to WAY more than the rated weight, which is 300lbs for the roof, split among 4 load-bearing beams, for 75lbs per beam. He put 200 on a single non-load bearing beam, and barley bent it. This is a solid tent. It even has enough lateral strength that with 8 10-gallon pots full of moist soil and 8 3x3 foot plants, and all the lights, I am able to slide the entire tent across the floor if I push slowly on the bottom. Can't ask much more than that. I added a plywood floor treated with garage floor sealer to make sliding pots around easier, and that probably also helps with the lateral slide. ... show more

  • Check the zippers!
Size: 4'x8'
Seemed well built with creative engineering. However the zippers are plastic. The vertical zipper in the center did not last a half day before complete failure.

  • Very good tent but the seams could have been sewn better
Size: 4'x8'
I've had this tent for a couple years. Overall it is an excellent tent - perfectly functional (especially with the height extension), and very well built for the most part. My only issue - the seam that contains the upper zipper on the right side has largely separated. In order to get in and out of the tent I have to completely avoid using the right side until I have sewn the seam back together (will probably use some fabric glue in combination with thread). For a tent of this price and quality this is certainly a disappointment. ... show more

  • Should Have Bought One Earlier!
Size: 4'x8'
Pleasantly surprised...I had done some research on tents and grow boxes but this Gorilla tent is amazing. Far and above what I had been using. The plus factor for my needs is huge. The size will allow me to expand as my budget lets me. Strong metal frame , light tight, plenty of ports, 12" height expansion included, quality zippers and easy to set up. When I first unboxed it I was a bit intimidated but it all came together very quick. Best of all...I had permission to buy it. Don't feel bad for my wife though, she got a 2002 Kawasaki mule (for chores she said). ... show more

  • Zipper Quality is Questionable
Size: 4'x8'
The zipper that zips up the main canvas isnt that great of quality. Metal clasps would be expected for this price I think. Updated my review to 4 stars for customer service.

  • Poor Quality
Size: 4'x8'
I ordered 2 of these Gorilla Grow tents, haven't had time to set it up until now and very disappointed as there are small holes all over, creating light leaks especially where the corners of the tent are . These are supposed to be the best out there but the quality is poor at best, do they not inspect what they are selling. I have bought 2 of these tents spent well over $1000.00 only to be ripped off with poor quality and did not get a Quality gorilla grow tent . Very poor Quality ! Completely Unacceptable for the price , can't get a refund because of Amazon's 30 day policy . Zero stars for the Gorilla Grow tent , holes all over with light coming in everywhere ... show more

  • It's a good tent. Better than the cheap stuff I've tried.
Size: 4'x8'
Edit: Been almost exactly 2 years now. My review would be the same. Several grows and dailyish opening and closing of the zippers and it's still holding up almost as good as new. Absolutely no problems. Definitely would buy again. It's a good tent. Yeah there's some pinhole light leaks at some seams. I see no light from the zippers except maybe the back doors at the seams. Honestly though, you can't sew anything without making holes and they're not going to let enough lightning to worry about... Pleased with the purchase. We'll see how the zippers hold up and all that in time as we just set it up yesterday. ... show more

  • Actual inner Dimensions
Size: 4'x8'
Tent is very nice well built. Will not fit a 4x8 tray tho. Had to take it back and get a 3x6 tray inner dimensions at actually about 45” wide by 94” length.
