  • Mildly disappointed for a "premium" tent.
I mainly purchased this version over the lite version because the cost of the lite version with the height extension was not much less. I figured I was getting better quality for the extra money. I've had a Vivosun 4x5, a AC Infiniti 2x4, and various 2x2's. The biggest issue I have is the light leaks. Pretty much all the stitching has pinholes. I tried capturing it in the photos. I'm going into flower now and I'm going to have to use tape to cover them. Secondly, having to manipulate 5 zippers to open the tent. It takes a lot of effort and the 2 spots where the 3 zippers meet leak light too. ... show more

  • Great product except.....
Size: 4 by 4-Feet
Very good tent tough rugged zippers easy setup. Would give it 5 stars but had 5 or 6 spots I needed to put black tape on to cover pin hole light leaks.

  • Great product, heavy duty ,easy assembly.
Size: 5x5
Don’t waste your money on other grow tents, it is worth every penny I spent on this grow tent. I’m running a six bucket air cube ebb and flow system with a spider farmer 7000SE led and ac infinity ventilation and controller 69. Love it!

  • This is a great tent. Very heavily built
Size: 4'x8'
This is a great tent. Very heavily built, with excellent design and materials. (Note that the tent pictured is a 4X4 tent, not the 8X4.) My only actual complaint about this tent is that they could have used better sippers. These sippers are very heavy duty, but have a tendancy to to sit flat, which can make them hard to zip. I've developed a technique to help, but it's still occasionally frustrating. Just get YKK and be done with it! There are minor pinhole punctures on the stitching that are not light tight, but this is a VERY minor problem. I have about 100,000 lumens in my tent, and if the grow lights are on, and the room is pitch black, I can make out a few of the stitch lines if I've been in the dark for a while. Which means that this tent would probably be OK outside in full-sunlight, which it isn't. Standing inside the tent with it entirely sealed and dark, and room lights on, I had to sit in there for about 10 minutes before I was able to see any light at all, and even then, it was very faint. I feel perfectly comfortable turning the room lights on when the tent is in it's night cycle. Otherwise, this tent is the best I've used. the air-flow design options are awesome, as are the power and water. I even did pull-ups from the top support beams. (Note, check which beams are the load-bearing beams before you do this. My friend did the same thing and bent the joint slightly, but he's 200 lbs, and did it from one bar, not the support bar. He barely bent it, it he subjected it to WAY more than the rated weight, which is 300lbs for the roof, split among 4 load-bearing beams, for 75lbs per beam. He put 200 on a single non-load bearing beam, and barley bent it. This is a solid tent. It even has enough lateral strength that with 8 10-gallon pots full of moist soil and 8 3x3 foot plants, and all the lights, I am able to slide the entire tent across the floor if I push slowly on the bottom. Can't ask much more than that. I added a plywood floor treated with garage floor sealer to make sliding pots around easier, and that probably also helps with the lateral slide. ... show more

  • Love it
The height is hard to beat. Have used ac infinity and vivosun tents. But when going with the 9x5 gorilla had the better vent/hole option in the tent. For the price I paid I was salty about the amount of pin holes from the stitching. My package was pretty beat up on arrival. The only issued I hade that was clearly from the shipping was the rubber end covers on the top supports. I absolutely love it. The canvas does feel thicker than the ac tents. Personally if you don’t have the room to utilize the height of gorillas go with ac infinity tents. Money can go much further for arguably an equal product. ... show more

  • I wanted to love it
Size: 5x5
First the good. I wanted to upgrade my light and wanted a more substantial frame that I could be confident would support it. I’m happy with the frame. Now the bad. 5 zippers to open it and do any maintenance. Velcro and seams that allow light in. When I closed one of the vents the draw string literally ripped out. I had to wait beyond the return window to set this up. I honestly would’ve returned it and given another brand a spin had I known what I know now. ... show more

  • No backdoor on 4x4
This is about as good as you can get for a grow tent. However... there is absolutely no back door on the 4x4 & smaller tents. I found that out too late. I bought fully expecting a back door as pictured (I'm sure they will change the picture soon since I have complained directly to Gorilla). I scoured the internet and found nothing to indicate the lack of a back door... no videos showing otherwise... nothing on the Gorilla website... They do make a point to tout the back door on everything that refers to all of their tents, and this specific product page refers to "doorways" with an "s" (unless it gets changed later). Sent an e-mail question to Gorilla before purchasing, but after a week with no response I went ahead and ordered anyway. Two weeks later (after getting the tent) they e-mailed me back to say 'no back door'. I said, 'yeah, that woulda been nice to know two weeks ago.' So, I still gave 4 stars because it is a top quality tent. My problem is with the representation. So, Gorilla, add a back door to the 4x4 (and give me a non-expiring discount code) and maybe I'll even order another one later on. But my space is tight, my arms aren't 4 feet long, and no one wants to take things out and then crawl under canopy to the other side like I will be doing. To their credit, Gorilla did send me an additional 2-foot extension (which I unfortunately can't use because of ceiling height) when I contacted them about a zipper that was separated from the original 1 foot extension. Grower's House (distributor) did a great job on everything including communication and helping replacement after the fact. They get 5 stars. ... show more
