  • Rectifier works fine but the regulator only limits the voltage to 17v above 2000rpm.
The media could not be loaded. I installed this on my 110cc chinese ATV: 2007 ATV Mfg by Zhejiang Fuxin 107cc (aka 110cc), Imported by Fushin USA, LLC. Brand: Fuxin Model: ATV110 Mfg: 11/2007 The Rectifier part seems to work fine at rectifying the stator's standard AC output into DC. Initially, as you see in the video the voltage came in between 13 and 14v. After a few minutes when it the regulator started to get a little warm the voltage quickly went to an unacceptable level topping out at 17v! Easily enough to burn out bulbs. I won't say the product is defective as the original regular had the same problem and turn the headlight which still works a little black. I think these chinese regulators are not really up to the job they are asked to do so I won't blame the vendor. Also, I have a feeling that all or most of the other generic regulators will product the same result. Even if they work good when installed how long will they last before you start blowing bulbs? The Tail light got fried and the brake light still works probably because you are not running it long at high rpm. I'm going to purchase a universal voltage regulator and attach the ground wire to the frame and the yellow wire to the positive output on the stator. That should take of the problem completely. Interestingly, once things cool off after a few minutes the voltage again is perfect. But as the temp rises so does the voltage. ... show more

  • Works well, a wiring guide would have saved me hours of trouble
No wiring diagram included, used the description from the image on the product page, turns out this isn't right. I've heard some are silver and maybe those are different. For anybody else who gets the black one, the wiring is as follow: If you are looking at the input/output with the tab on top. Top Left: 12v output Top Right: AC input Bottom Left: AC input Bottom Right: Ground Seems to work well, good price. ... show more

  • Does what it's supposed to do
After trying several other R/R's, this one seems to work as it should. There's nothing special about it, but it certainly works in VIP scooters (at least mine, anyway).
