Connects to my phone on its own wifi network and allows me to review footage or view live remotely. I had to turn the feature off from auto connect because it prevented me from connecting to 5g while it was connected. I'm sure I could have fixed it by setting up dual networks but wasn't very important to me after playing with it the first day. I prefer the plug and play... and forget. Starts the second I turn the ignition and stops when I get out. Any sudden jolt of the vehicle it logs an emergency recording that's bookmarked and saved. The sensitivity of this feature can be adjusted otherwise a heavy door slam with trigger the process. Comes with a memory card so everything to get started is included and saves you from having to spend an extra $10, which is very nice. I changed the mount from the suction cup to a flat mount with vhb tape. I personally hate suction cups and it would have been nice if included. The manufacturer limits its customers with a mount most people hate. I luckily had an extra phone mount with the same size ball base on it. Still like the product and use it every day. My previous dash cam saved me a long drawn out battle when a young little racer hit me and another car, apologized, then lied to the insurance agency when he realized the other car wasn't sure who hit her. This thing can really save you a lot of time, money and stress. Highly recommend getting one of these if you haven't already. ... show more

Works well for us… easy set up! The only disadvantage in my opinion is that it does not seem veey tidy with the loose wire, i wish they had a way of setting it up in the car without the wires hanging around

    • Good camera with 1 MAJOR concern
This camera appears to have a good quality build to it. Everything is tight and clean looking. There is a little bit of a learning curve with using the app and navigating through the menus on the camera. Once you've figured out how to navigate it, it works great! The camera works great and has a decent picture quality. Here is my major concern. After I installed the camera, my car's battery died within just a couple of days. It's a car that I don't drive every day, so that plays a role. Not knowing at the time that it might be related to the camera, I just charged the battery and continued on. A few days later, the battery was dead again. After a little troubleshooting, I found that this camera will never turn itself off if it is plugged into an outlet that has 12V power all the time. Even with the parking monitor off, the camera will remain on and recording 24/7. I contacted GOODTS. Their customer service was GREAT! They tried really hard with helping me troubleshoot and find a solution. In the end, they recommended I purchase a power supply for the camera that can be switched off. That was a huge no go because I don't want to have to remember to turn the camera off every time I leave the car. I would just unplug it if that was the case. GOODTS sent me a replacement camera just in case it was a bad camera. The second camera had the same issue. I am mechanically inclined, so my solution was to hardwire the camera into a different power source that switches off with the key. That fixed the problem for me. Now the camera turns on & off with the key. Other than that one major issue, I like the camera. ***Be very careful and make sure the outlet you plug this camera into switches off with the key.     • Directions are a bit vague
Once I got it installed which is simple, the 'direction' in which/how to set it up is NOT clear. Mounting, plugging it in, features, etc. all simple and direct and easy to use. But the literal way in which and where to place it is NOT specified exactly. It is more "place it in your window" but not where or which way it should face. Yes, it can face both ways and still work. Still giving 5 stars as once I got it figured out and set in place it works great! Just saying, the directions a vague in certain areas. ... show more

    • App is a pain & slow
The camera is great and all provided items work as intended. The suction cup is fantastic and provides a great mounting point. The cable is long enough to route it around the windscreen and into the center console to the 12 V plug. The camera comes on when the ignition comes on and it automatically records two video streams, forward and backward. It creates two files and based on the default settings these files are 1 minute in length. I went into the settings and changed this to 3 minutes but this makes the files larger and very long to download in the app. The app appears to be old. In order to connect to the camera wireless you have to connect to its own WiFi network. But this is cumbersome and slow. Likewise, if you download clips over this wireless network it is VERY SLOW. It took me approx. 5 minutes for a three minute clip. To be fair, you can remove the provided 64GB card and stick it into your computer but who wants to do this all the time. On the other hand, you only need the video when you had an incident so its not that critical overall. For the main purpose this camera just does its thing, comes on – records – saves files on card and does it over again. I also enabled the parking mode and it records when the vibration sensor picks up a bump even w/o power on due to small battery in the camera. ... show more

As many others have already said, this is a great dash cam. Size-wise, it is a fairly standard design, but I appreciate it coming with all the needed mounting materials and SD card for recording. This model does require an active power-connection, but I was able to sufficiently power it from a USB within my radio than needing the 1.5V adapter. Video quality is similar to an outdoor security camera - good enough for keeping tabs on the car both in the day and at night (just expect some quality drop with night mode).     • Decent camera
This camera does work quite well and gives me decent pictures. It just won't stay on my windshield no matter what I use to clean the glass. It was super easy to set up. The app doesn't always work for me, though. Overall, it's a good camera that just needs a different type of suction cup.
