    • Got these for a crochet hairpin lace frame
I saved some stiff foam packing - not styrofoam, but the other kind often used in packing fragile things. Mine came from a box with a mirror in it. Anyway, the foam is very sturdy and using these wooden skewers, I pierced the foam, slid it down near the end, did the same with another skewer, then added another strip of foam near the top. That makes up a hairpin lace frame. Quick and easy to make and I can create the hairpin lace frame as far apart or close together as I want for my lacey loops.
