This handle is amazing. I put it on my spinfisher 4500. I had the reel as a backup but now it is my go-to. The handle is solid and well made. I feel for the price we pay for the Spinfisher or Slammer they should come with the handle. Though for the price you pay for this, it is solid build quality, colors sand out, and there is no play between the joins or pins.

Don’t be alarmed or intimidated if you have the Long Cast version. I have the Spinfisher VI 5500 long cast version and I’m happy with the results. All you’ll need is a small flathead screwdriver to switch out the base and some loctite. I have the black and gold version handles, for two of the same reels. Only negative, if you get the Gold, the base will be black, wasn’t a deal breaker for me. ... show more

Bought two. One for a Spinfisher 4500 and a 6500. Fit perfectly. Loved them. Went ahead and ordered 8 more to cover all of my reels. That was 5 months ago. 3 of them have failed on me now. 2 of those months I was out of town and they did not get used at all. So, in 3 months of use this has happened. One of the caps keeps rattling off and two of the knobs have pulled lose. Whatever the internal pin/washer is that holds them on have broken or come lose. Now keep in mind I am a charter captain. They do go through a bit more use and poor treatment from people who sometimes don't know how to handle a rod and reel properly but I take very good care of my stuff. I do my best to make sure people do not abuse things. And again, I was gone for 2 months so all of this with 3 months of use. Very frustrating to find out that there is no warranty unless im just missing something. For $35 a piece I would hope that they would back up their product. They sure seemed great right out of the box and the first couple months. Really thought I had hit a home run with these but Im gonna have to look for something else. ... show more
