For the most part, the golf buddy device does a great job. I turned off the voice activation and use it only visually. My only concern is that the device can easily dislodge from your belt buckle. The first time I used it. It fell off and I had to go back and find it. it is worth the money.

It worked great for 10 months, then it stopped charging, so I ordered an extra battery and replaced it but it won't charge. I ordered another one because I got so used to using it on the course and now cannot play without the yardage numbers. Hopefully the new one will last longer.
