The golf cart I bought - Icon - did not come with a rearview mirror, only side-view. The side mirrors got bumped off easily going past narrow passages on our campus. This rearview mirror was simple to install and came with self-tapping metal screws. DenForste Golf Cart Rear View Mirror, 16.5" Golf Cart Mirror Curved I bought a used 1997 EzGo TXT about 14 years ago and originally it didn't have any type of center rear-view mirror, so I bought one that was a retro-fit for older cars at the auto parts store. It was okay, but sort of small and the mirror got cloudy around the edges over time. When I saw this unit, I liked the fact that it was convex across the width and about double the size of my old mirror, so it obviously offers a far greater field of view than the old mirror did. In addition to the side mirrors I already have, I have full view of everything behind the cart, which is good for backing up when the pets are around, as well as when I am using my tow-behind spray rig to keep an eye on it, backing up the trailer, etc.. To install, I attached the side brackets first so the spacing would be automatically set and then held the unit up even and centered and drove the screws into the plastic top of the cart. I left the mirror folded forward 90 degrees to the brackets so I had access to drive the screws and then adjusted the angle and level and tightened the thumb nuts afterwards to the proper position. The whole assembly and installation only took about 5 minutes. The screws just need to be snug and be careful not to try to drive them in too hard or the plastic will obviously strip out. The mirror is light enough so it doesn't shake and work the screws loose, even over rough terrain. Easy upgrade for any golf cart and could even be used for UTVs and side-by-sides with a roof. I'm even contemplating getting a second one to mount to the back of the roof angled back/down about 22.5 degrees so it would give me a view directly behind the cart when I turn around so I can see to line up the ball hitch with the trailer or anything that may be directly behind the cart out of view. For the price and ease of install, it's an excellent product and highly recommend. So far, so good, but I will update my review if I encounter any issues with the mirror degrading/clouding prematurely. I've attached a few photos of the mirror before installation with the brackets attached as well as compared to the old mirror to show how big it is in comparison. Awesome and a great price as well!     • Narrow - Needs to be Positioned Close...
It's a simple design and easy to install. The plastic frame is rigid and the mirror itself is clear. My only desire is that it is narrow (vertically), which doesn't give a tremendous amount of view top to bottom. The horizontal span is excellent, offering great views left and right. I have mine mounted using magnets because my roof is steel. It mounts easily with this conversion method. Overall a decent product from my point of view. ... show more

The field of view offered by this mirror is great due to the combination of a wide mirror & its slight curvature. The reflected image is very clear. The mirror stays in place and stable while driving ... it does not shake or vibrate. My wife and I are very happy with this upgrade! The mirror was protected well within the packaging. As other commenters mentioned, suspending the mirror from your roof might not be ideal if you have a thin roof ... holes in your roof, and pointy screw tips protruding from the top of your roof. I chose to mount the L-brackets to a crossbar just below my roof. I used a vise and vise-grips to bend the L-brackets so they somewhat matched the curve of the bar. I then used hose clamps to secure the brackets to the bar. If the visible silver clamps bother me, I might try to conceal them ... possibly wrapping them with electrical tape. This is a very nice mirror. I like the convex feature and the wide view (2.75" tall x 16.5" wide curved rear-view mirror). And the kits come with everything you will need to mount it to your cart. Inside the hardware kit you will find four (4) self-tapping (drill-head) screws, two brackets, and the mirror. The directions clearly state to mount these two brackets to the canopy. Two things: 1) I held up the mirror to my canopy and the two supplied brackets do not hang down far enough to get a clear view of what is behind me. 2) Unfortunately, on my 2016 Yamaha G29 the canopy is only one layer on my cart, and if I use the supplies self-tapping screws to mount this mirror, I will be putting 4 holes in my canopy. Sorry, I will not mount this to my canopy as it will ruin my canopy. ... show more
