I got lazy and didn't bother returning it. One day I ran out of edge control and I decided to try it on my daughter's hair. Let me tell you. Once I brushed it into her hair, that hold was AMAZING! Been using this for 7 years. I have tried other product but most of them have heavy scent. This gel has light scent. Great for thick hairs. Stays sturdy for a long time, except when it rains or if you are doing intense workout. Sometimes the gel makes my hair too hard. To prevent that from happening, I can dilute the gel with a little water and mix it. The amount of gel that I use is just a dab that thinly covers the fingerprint of my index finger. I have been using this product for years. I rock a spikey pixie cut with very thick hair. This product is the foundation of my style. I rub it into the roots while my hair is wet. Let air dry for a bit and finish off with the blow dryer. This is the only product I’ve found that lifts my heavy hair. It has no scent which I appreciate. I do wish it came in a smaller size because as it dries out it becomes gummy. If it came in a smaller size I would use it up before the gummy part would start. This is by far one of my HG products for hair! I can’t live without it. If you take a little bit of it and rub it between your fingers to warm it up and smooth it onto you flyaways and the root area you’ll step up your hair game to runway status! You can brush it out the next morning and the hair stays soft. It’s not flaky. I’m updating and going down a star because there were no local retailers and it took forever to come in from the UK. This feels great on my 4b-4c hair and the fragrance is nice. It gives me a softness and definition to my coilycurls, but I could use more hold. This one was recommended by a YT reviewer, but I'll try a few of the other gels in this line to see which one's better one for me.
