Description

The Gold Tone EBM is a unique F-style 5-string electric banjo that looks as good as it sounds. The EBM, like a normal banjo, has an extremely fast response allowing hammer-ons, pull-offs, and slides to be accomplished with incredible ease. Even unplugged, this electric 5-string has an excellent banjo tone due to the hollow sound chamber within the body. The two-tone tobacco sunburst is pleasantly set off by the gold hardware. It has easy to reach control knobs for quick tone and volume changes. This model features a dual pickup design with a hidden humbucking pickup under head and a single coil pickup at neck position. Other features include a mahogany "F-style" body, ebony fingerboard with snowflake inlays, an 8" banjo head and tone ring, and a Straightline tailpiece. Whether you are new to the banjo or want to add a new sound to your existing arsenal, the EBM may be just what you are looking for.

  • Nice banjo! For Made in China, it's pretty darn good.
Took a chance on this banjo when it was offered for $820. Glad I did. Sounds very good plugged in, with 3 different pickup options..bridge, under head or both. Nice clean tone. Sounds plenty good unplugged too. In fact, I'm surprised how much I don't plug it in! It's a looker, too. I like the whole setup. There are a few small flaws in the Chinese workmanship. If you look closely at the scroll on the body and the headstock, you'll see the cuts are a little ugly, and the paint job is not exactly emblematic of pride in workmanship. But that's just on the inside part of the scroll, and you have to look for the blemishes to find them. I don't know if I'd feel the same if I'd paid over 1000 bucks for it. But for 820, I'm happy with it. ... show more
