  • Excellent banjo, great price
I'm a novice banjo player (very very novice), so I wasn't really sure what to look for in a banjo. I knew Gold Tone's reputation, and the other reviews made me feel confident that the CC-50 was the way to go for a complete beginner such as myself. The banjo was a fantastic price, and is very well made. It's not flashy or cheap, but sturdy and high quality. The case it came with is a little flimsy, but it does the job of keeping the banjo protected & stored. I will probably upgrade to a nicer case when I end up traveling with my banjo. I have no formal understanding of musical instruments, but to me this banjo sounds clear, crisp, and has a good tone. Excellent place to start if you're a beginner like me! I have absolutely no complaints about the banjo (now about my skill..... well, that's another story) ... show more

  • Sweet Music Maker
Decided it was time to learn to play a banjo. After a lot of research, decided on on the Gold Tone CC. Great first instrument, now time for the dedication part. Very happy with the tone.

  • Great banjo, crappy case
My partner loves this banjo. I have it to him as a gift and it has truly inspired him to learn it and play it every day. Ended up buying a separate case as the one it came with broke the first day. It can definitely up its game in the case business.

  • Full featured and great value
Banjo was not damaged, but the packaging was very flimsy. Ready to play right out of the box. Easy to tune and sounds great!

Really pleased!. This is my first banjo so the CC-50 came highly recommended by a friend. Set up seems good as far as I can tell and seems to hold it's tune well. No regrets...would recommend to all rookie pickers like myself.

  • THIS BANJO IS THE REAL DEAL
An excellent banjo, at the right price, and attractive enough to cost more, with wonderful sound properties and general "feel". I am quite pleased with it and recommend it highly. It has folk qualities and is good with traditional music and at the same time has that rich blue grass sound with finger picks. ... show more

  • Excellent Instrument!
Solidly built, nice loud banjo tone. Thank you!

  • CASE IS VERY LOW QUALITY
So far my son is enjoying the banjo, but the case is pathetic. The straps have broken in two different locations with the first 48 hours of ownership. Appears we can't just return the case, so whole product goes back.
