I ordered this item for 2 reasons. First, I have purchased GOINGMAKE items before -- 2 T-Squares and the 3-D Carpenter Square -- and have been impressed by the quality. Second, I will be assembling some IKEA SEKTION kitchen cabinets over time as I buildout a storage facility, and I thought these would come in handy. When I ordered this item, I wondered about the supplied clamping mechanism -- I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering -- and sure enough that proved to be this item’s weakness. First, trying to juggle all the pieces-parts to the clamping assembly, and then tightening it, proves very cumbersome. Second, as one does tighten it, a camming action occurs causing the corner block to tilt upward, which is not only awkward, but could affect accuracy. Consequently, I am returning these. The corner block itself is very nice, and I am sure superior to the L-shaped plastic ones seen just about everywhere. If one wants to pay the price, throw out the clamps supplied, and use the soft-faced bar clamps you most likely already have, these will probably work great. For me, and for all the more that I would use them, it does NOT make sense to keep them. I would recommend GOINGMAKE offer just the corner blocks at a lower price, and let buyers use their own bar clamps -- I would probably be a buyer then. ... show more

Review: GOINGMAKE Corner Clamps for Woodworking with Both 45- and 90-Degree Angles - Aluminum Alloy - Right Angle Clamps for Picture Frame Boxes and Cabinets Drawers Overall, this is a pretty decent set of corner clamps. I like the smaller size of this set. I have many corner clamps that are quite a bit larger. I needed a set smaller than what I have been using and this set fits the bill. I have been making small box frames and these are much nicer to work with. They are made from an Aluminum Alloy. This means another substance has been added to the aluminum to strengthen it. They feel sturdy and well-built but not heavy, which is nice. They are also thick to avoid any twisting under higher pressure. Seldom do I make 45-degree corners on my box frames, but occasionally a customer will ask for that. This set offers both 45- and 90-degree angles. It's a nice option to have. The lettering looks to be lasered into the aluminum, but it is not near as white and easy to read the actual clamp itself. My last photo is an attempt to see that but with digital photography, it doesn't look that bad. It is much worse than the photo shows and is a bit difficult for me to see clearly. Although I cleaned it off for the photos, two of the four knobs had glue or some other sticky substance all over them. It wiped off fairly easily, but it did take some pressure to get it all off. I like the set, but these little issues are easily correctable with a little more attention to detail. ... show more
