  • buen preamplificador, pero le falta brillo
Color: Black Preamp EQ
siento que le falta brillo, por lo de más, es un buen pre. igual mejora el sonido del preamplificador de mi audiotechnica AT-lp 120

  • It wasn't an upgrade
Color: Black
I want to give this a good review. Nice design & build quality. The sound is "hollow". I know everyone uses these subjective terms and this is mine. The highs are not crisp when the high hats are hit, the mids are not there when the lead guitars grind and the bass is not there when the bass drums punch. It's hollow across the whole range. I've tried it with 2 turntables and 2 powered speaker systems. I don't want to equalize my sound if I can avoid it. Like many other reviewers, I'm always looking for a little upgrade in my sound. The pre-amp on my Dual CS 429 turntable, the build in pre in both my Kanto and Klipsch powered monitors (paired to Velodyne & Sonance subs respectively) are all better than this pre. I gave it a fair shot and it's just not an upgrade. I did buy the Ampapa A1 pre for substantially more and I can enthusiastically say that is an upgrade. Sorry GOgroove, I'm just being honest. ... show more

  • Does the job without any hiccups!
Color: Black
Great little unit that can easily be hidden. Easy to set up and simple to use, just plug in and play. Visible power light and cool Go Groove design on the top. The only reason I gave a 4 star is because I didn't like that there is no power turn on/off switch. It stays on unless you physically unplug it. Otherwise, visually appealing and sounds great. I have it plugged in to a Harbinger powered speaker and it sounds great! I didn't notice any unusual noise or feedback produced from the unit. ... show more

  • Replaced my Fluance PA10
Color: Black Preamp EQ
This pre-amp really helped settle out a lot of noise from my Fluance RT-85 turntable. Having the ability to adjust the gain is saving the whole setup. Like others and really as you would expect, I purchased the matching Fluance components thinking they must have optimized the system, but the amount of noise coming through (not due to a feedback or ground loop, btw) was tremendous when you power on. Waiting for music to “replace” the noise just isn’t acceptable even with a largely budget rig the is the Fluance. Adding the equalizer functions is a bonus. I would recommend skipping the Fluance PA10 and going with this. ... show more

  • Works great!
Color: Black Pro
Replaced a Pyle that had failed after years sitting with rare use and constant power. This preamp sounds good, and I really appreciate the power button, since I don't use my turntable often. The input level control is a great bonus as well! Keeping my 40 year old Denon turntable alive!

  • Needed to use Echo Link Amp
Color: Black Pro
I have only been using this for a short time. I bought an Echo Link Amp to be able to play my vinyl house wide on my Alexa sound configuration. My turntable is 40 years old and this pre-amp did the trick. I upgraded to the pro to be able to turn it off when not playing vinyl. Sound is good whether playing through my surround sound, separate speakers or Echo devices ... show more

  • Used for PC Gaming
Color: Black Preamp EQ
First pre-amp that ive ever bought so take my review with a large grain of saltines. I have been using "gaming" headsets for my entire life and got entirely fed up with my astro a50s always disconnecting and causing problems (new work headset now) and bought myself a pair of AT 50mxbt2s, and after playing around with it for a while i actually enjoy it quite a lot. I wanted something that had physical knobs instead of a digital eq, they work pretty good. I'm barely pushing this since these headphones arent really all that powerful i suppose but i can say that they sound a lot better at 16% pc volume with only like 3 tics on input gain and monitor level than they did at 100% pc volume directly connected. Didnt realize these things had as much bass as i can feel now listening to music. I mostly play tarkov and league and didnt like how i felt the game before. if youre also thinking of these for a PC connection ask me some questions! ... show more

  • Sleek, stylish, compact entry-level preamp
Color: Black
I’m returning this within 30 days because I ended up getting a Rockville preamp (has on/off-switch, multi-input panel on back, input selector dial, bass/treble/mid-range dials, loudness on/off button, low noise filter button, separate output volume dial) for about $40 more. But was only after a few days of focused studying of alternatives and learning something about which I knew absolutely nothing (how can I best can get my late ‘70s Sanyo turntable to work with a 2005 Yamaha HTR-5830 digital-oriented receiver?). But the GOgroove amp was my exciting, crisp, easy to use—with snug, hum-free turntable grounding—very first foray into hearing vinyl records again after 30+ years. M Having learned there were alternatives, it just was too much trouble to have to plug/unplug the unit all the time without an on/off switch. I actually intended to order the next higher GOgroove model (looks very similar to this one) at about $20 more—with on/off switch and volume and a few other level dials. But was kind of elusive to get the right one on Amazon (or confused myself). Haven’t bought electronics in a long time—let alone through Amazon. But if you have about $28 to spend, this GOgroove entry-level preamp will deliver—it will do what’s intended, just without “bells and whistles.” It will be an exciting way to hear records again if, as with mine, your receiver has no “phono” input but has one or more RCA “aux” inputs. ... show more
