If you got puppy that is an aggressive chewers, this is a good one. I have a very aggressive chewer and it's been 7 months that he had this and it is just starting to show wear and tear. I am taking a minute out of my day to write a review of this product because I am that impressed with how good it is. I bought the large alligator for my 25 lb terrier mix because she is a VERY AGGRESSIVE CHEWER. The only toys we have that she has not destroyed are black Kong tubes and a few other rubber Kong toys. Small dog toys bend to her will almost instantaneously. Larger toys typically last a couple days. I don't bother buying them anymore, but it's Christmas, so even the dog should get a present. It has now been 2 weeks since she got the alligator, and while she has chewed a few small holes along his nose, tail, and spine, he is otherwise intact. He has lost no stuffing, and his squeaker is still miraculously squeaking! I am very impressed and will be buying a dinosaur for her birthday! ... show more

My dog (7 y/o standard poodle) absolutely loves any plush toy, especially ones which squeak. The problem is that he mauls most toys within an hour or two because he is so enthusiastic. I am mostly worried about him potentially eating the stuffing or the squeaker, but I will find that strewn about, so as far as I am aware he hasn't. I've been looking for something durable and gave this a try. It is certainly made of tougher stuff than typical toys, however within two hours he had already ripped the ear off. That was only filled with the crinkle filling, which he discarded, and it was torn at the seam, so it wasn't like he tore through the fabric itself. I'll give him a little longer with it, and if the main body can hold up I'll consider this a win. ... show more

This is the fav toy of our 12lb chihuahua-terrier, no contest. It’s fun as a floppy whole to shake or toss, but just as much fun to chew apart, creating even MORE toys—some for chewing quietly to bits, some for just playing. The squeaky foot and leg has nice leverage for flinging, the ankle loop is good to chase and stick your nose into. The body and head parts get chewed into spitty bits over months, then left for the humans to find later. Our small guy is a meditative chewer, so it usually takes him a month to dismantle this guy, but he continues to pay it some attention for months after. He’s been through about 5 of them over 2.5 years, so we have a whole collection of chicken parts in various stages—plenty for a good game of “tug” or “git it.” ... show more

    • Cute but didn’t survive our puppy’s need to chew

This product states in the description that if your dog is able to destroy it, the company will do a one-time replacement. Our puppy (10 months old and 15 pounds) obliterated it in a matter of 3-4 weeks. When I emailed the company for a replacement, they stated that offer was only good for 30 days. I went back to the Amazon description and in three different places it mentioned the one-time replacement offer, but nowhere did it say there was a 30 day limit on that. I emailed the company again to reiterate that the 30 day discrepancy was never mentioned in the Amazon description. They replied that they would “make an exception” and replace the original toy. We received the replacement yesterday and although it’s not the same “character”, it’s actually even more cute than the original! 24 hours has passed and our puppy has already removed some of the character’s hair and has one of the ears halfway removed. My opinion is that it’s a very cute product, but doesn’t stand up to a puppy’s play as well as it claims to. However I am satisfied that the company replaced the first one and we had a second chance to try their product. I might buy again from this company, but not until the puppy has matured a bit and isn’t such a one dog wrecking crew to his toys! ... show more

Its well made, chew proof, but sqeeky is useless. Inside to far. But my dog's that had to bring a toy when he saw mom n dad, 2 dog's, i stuck it in thier mouth before we went in cause theyd look for anything, i came home of i had no toy id givem my shoe cause i got a dried turd once,. It a lobing calming thing i read, the didnt get all spazzed, the walk in with a toy, and circled around the living room maling a happy growling noise, one calm would drop it. Its a loving thing to contain their excitement. I do it to New dogs i train do the toy, don't bite, lick, scratch, i give them a toy like this, and excitement is not as bad, they grow up, calm down, but need that toy when the see them. Cute, but not these dog's, their in spaz Mode ( rescues) so i don't know their Story, but just my 2 others.. Try it when puppy gets excited so see u or someone they like, they seems to calm the excitement. This is a good chew proff durable one ... show more
