Very impressed with the quality of the material used for this Basketball hoop. Boxes were delivered (3 separate boxes) Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Please note that you will need to dig a four foot hole and fill it with 9-10 concrete bags. Lots of videos on Youtube to help you understand what you are doing. Remember to install the backboard to the pole before setting it on the concrete footing. The instructions don't tell you this but everyone online advises to do it and it made it much easier. I researched all set ups before buying this one, they make a basic one for $499, then a mid class one for $799 but all reviews complained about shaking and poor quality. In the words of my 11 year old: "It's amazing!" We just got this at Amazon, it arrived quickly (through one of their sellers) and was in perfect condition. The install is similar to what everyone described here - my husband did it over the course of a week or so due to our schedules. Because we had read the reviews here, he bought more concrete than the instruction called for - about 10 bags which worked perfectly. The system's been up for about 1 week and is great - very little shake, plays like a professional system. We have an 11 year old son and 10 year old daughter who both love to play and this system is great, expect it will grow with them through the years. My husband's been shooting on it too and has commented on how awesome it is! We had a Lifetime portable system that was 15+ years old - so shaky (and loud when they shot!) and in hindsight should have been replaced long ago. This new net is sturdy and expect it will remain that way for years. Great price on Amazon - consistent or lower than the big box stores. I took a while to decide what to get and where because I couldn't "see" it and see how sturdy it was so didn't want to spend that kind of money if not sturdy. If you're thinking of buying, go see in the store, if necessary and buy here - the store display isn't that great so you really can't get a feel for truly how sturdy it will be when setup until you actually see one that is installed properly in the ground. But I can assure you, there is very little shake when they are shooting. Love it! ... show more

So far we have absolutely loved this hoop, before even playing in it I was wry impressed right away with the quality and how heavy duty it is. Installation was easy with great instructions. Digging the hole and pouring the concrete is the hardest part but renting an electric cement mixer made quick work of it. Giving it 4 stars because it does shake a little more than I had hoped but really doesn’t hinder the shots so I think I’ll get used to it quickly . Overall it’s a great hoop I’m glad I went with this hoop over a cheaper one , this will last a very long time . ... show more

No comparison to a stand up driveway unit filled with water or sand. Plays like a gym system. I was concerned about the "wobbling" reviews. I took my time and set the anchors in about 50 inches of concrete. If you brick a shot, or use the backboard heavily, it does shake for a few seconds. Nothing that concerns me. The backboard is very heavy. A few OSHA laws may or may not have been broken hanging it up. Something about a ladder in the back of a pickup truck. This is the best Basketball Rim by far on the market. The rim is very sturdy and it has my entire family playing on it here on St.Croix US Virgin Islands . Installation was a breeze even though it took me a few days to dig the 48 inch hole. I dug a foot each day and throw some water in hole after each dig to soften soil for the next digging. There is no rattle after the ball hits the rim and the backboard is as firm as it gets. I am into building so I added extra steel, sand and gravel to my cement to create a stronger base. The price is well worth i just wish it came with the padding for the pole but its good product for the price regardless. Repeat, Its the best and its worth getting it for the family. ... show more

Everything arrived together with nothing missing. I did hire a contractor to dig the hole and pour the concrete with the anchor system inserted. Once that set for 3 days, my son and I set the pole and bolted it down with little trouble. This took about 15-20 minutes. Pole assembly was done by myself on the garage floor in about an hour. Once the pole was bolted down, I had two more people come over to attach the backboard to the pole. We had the two adults holding the backboard while standing on ladders. Our sons stood on 5 gallon buckets and started the bolts that attach the backboard. We then attached the two bolts onto the upper bracket. Once that is done, all you have to do is attach the hoop. Really easy! The only issue is that there is some vibration after the shot or after grabbing the rim. It is not huge but it is noticeable. ... show more
