When it arrived, I noticed that the instruction manual was for a rack from a different brand. However, the picture on the manual looked the same, so I assumed there were no differences. While the rack shares the same functions (smith machine and lat pulldown), when I assembled it I noticed it didn't look the same. The pulldown mechanism and smith machine barely functioned until I lubricated the vertical bars. The smith machine bar itself is a different color and shape, and the pieces where the plates sit aren't flush, leaving gaps. As well as this, the plate-loading bars are a different shape than what's shown in the picture and there is rust inside of the uprights. ... show more

This smith machine is cheaply made. It says the smith bar holds up to 500 lbs. I bought it to do heavy squats. After putting just one 45 lb plate on each side for warm-up, it was so shaky I thought it would tip over or break. Also, the smith bar gets in the way when using the lat pull down and tricep extension. I highly recommend getting a more substantial smith machine. I already did. Buyer beware. ... show more
