  • GREAT NUC
Size: Intel i5-12450H 32GB+1TB White
The media could not be loaded. Well first off every product i have bought from GMK has been excellent. With NUC's there is some tradeoff with ports and this one is the same I would like more usb-c ports but other than that is it a great unit. I run a pretty unique setup with a 49" LG ultra gear curve and a second display is an HDMI fed 15" graphics tablet with built in display. It has no problem driving both HDMI's. The 49" is a 5120X1440 and the 15" is 1920X1080. I use this setup primarily for doing some compiling code and code writing. I run VS and python on it and have found it to be very capable and have not had a single problem the resources running out. The DDR4 is quite fast. The SSD access is very quick. I run this setup at 45 watt and it works great. I do monitor the cores for usage and they balance pretty well. You don't notice the loading, unloading and turbo working at all except the fan speed might go from around 2000 rpm up to 4000 rpm for a second or less. But the fan is super quiet. One of the only issues I have is that the way the Intel integrated graphics cannot be monitored for load or usage from any monitoring software I could find. I am not huge computer gamer, but it ran cyberpunk and starfield quite well on this 49" ultra-wide curved monitor. I found this NUC at a great price point and with plenty of ram and SSD space. This is a great unit especially those looking at an intel setup. I have really been pleased with it and have not found any real issues with it. Setup was quite easy packaging was great. ... show more

  • This is a suprisingly full featured mini power house!
Size: Intel i5-13500H 32GB+1TB
The media could not be loaded. GMKTEC K7 Mini Computer Note that I tried to upload photos in the same order that issues and items are mentioned below. Unboing: 5in x 5in x 2in (approx.) 120W power supply. (A little bulky but still OK...like a typical laptop power supply) HDMI cable and mounting bracket included. Basic Specs: i5-13500H up to 4.7Ghz 12 Core 16 threads. Intel Iris XE Graphics 32GB of DDR 5 Dual channel RAM configured in 2 x 16GB laptop sized modules. (Upgradeable to 64GB) M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 1Tb SSD drive. (Upgradeable to 4Tb in two NVMe slots.) 2 x 2.5 Gigabit LAN Ports One HDMI and one Display Port video out each capable of 4K 60hz using Intel Iris graphics. USB 3.2 10Mbs x 4 USB 4.0 Type C My Comments: My set up used two older Dell monitors, each 1920 x 1080. I use this for business, word processing, internet and audio processing of larger files, typically Wav files 90 to 180 minutes long.(600Mb to 1500Mb) After first boot and initial Win 11 set up I was informed that my Office Trial expired Oct 2023 whereas this was already Feb 11 2024. No worries however since the trial was offered again after doing all OS updates. I installed Office Pro Plus 2021 instead. I also installed many utility programs, Winrar / 7Zip / Atto SSD Benchmark software / CoreTemp CPU monitor along with various printer and scanner apps, backup apps and audio editing and recording multitrack software, graphics software, media players etc. The first thing that impressed me was the super fast boot time. Less than 20sec from push button to full desktop then down to under 10sec (9.34sec) with fast boot enabled in Win 11 and BIOS. There is a fair number of tweakable parameters in BIOS including quite a few for the CPU. I confess I do not know the significance of many BIOS parameters but the BIOS seems reasonably comprehensive for a mini computer (compared to others Ive used.) Fan cooling is actually is fairly quiet. Default "Power and Performance " setting in BIOS is "Balanced". Other options here are "Quite" and "Performance" The fan modulates and ramps up and down at various speeds depending on the computing load. More demand on processing produces higher fan speeds. Even at full RPM I found the fan noise to be minimal and unintrusive. I have CoreTemp, a CPU temperature monitoring app, installed. Max junction temperature spec for this CPU is 100C but I haven't seen anything above 78C on any core, and than only briefly, no matter how intensly I use this machine. Typical idle temps are below 40C (35 to 39 depending on the core.) NVMe Benchmark tests using default settings on Atto software maxed out at approx 2.9GBs read and 2.7GBs write. This seems to adequately exploit the performance of PCIe 3.0 NVMe drives. Also note that the installed NVMe drive is heat sinked. To give you an idea of just how fast this computer can be: I have a 2TB NVMe drive in an enclosure as an external drive for computer backups. I use Macrium Reflect. On the USB 4.0 Type C port, my first Macrium Reflect backup of this computer took 1 minute and 52 sec to create a 60GB backup image. During this backup, we were reading at 13.4 Gb/sec and writing at 5.8 Gb/sec!! Access for upgrading is simple. The top cover pops off to expose 4 screws, then gently pry off the plastic cover under the screws to expose the NMMe and RAM slots. Take care though that fan wires are attached. I cannot comment on gaming comprehensively but some lower end gaming is possible. I think the bottleneck here is graphics more than computing power but others may know better than I do. When travelling (which I do freuently) I used to bring a copy of all desktop files with me on an external drive and then work from a laptop where I would migrate email and internet browser profiles to the laptop and then resync everything from laptop back to desktop when I got home but I will now just bring this computer with me and a small monitor. Furthermore, I used to have a desktop in my office and one in the bedroom. Now I just carry the K7 from room to room as needed since I have keyboards and monitors in both places. With the fast NVMe drive and the huge amount of fast RAM I can't find any downside to this machine. Its performance rivals any desktop that Ive ever used and it's portability means that I can pack it up and bring it with me anywhere. There are enough USB Ports to cover peripherals like printers, portable optical drives, hard drive docks etc. It is a completely adequate full desktop replacement..... a mini power house. Whether it is audio or video editing, music composition and multitracking, VST instruments, a gazillion internet tabs opened at once, there are adequate resources to do anything I can think of..except of course I cant comment on high end gaming since I'm not a gamer. I am very impressed and I have no regrets. ... show more

  • Super impressed!!
Size: Intel i7-12650H 24GB+1TB
The media could not be loaded. I am super impressed with the speed of this computer. It's handled everything I've thrown at it. I have a 44 inch wide screen gaming monitor that I was hoping it could handle. I also have a 34-in gaming monitor super high refresh rate and is 1440. This little machine handled both of those monitors. The top cover comes in two different colors, black or red. M.2 SSD one terabyte hard drive is right on the top and can be changed out for a two terabyte really easily. I'm going to run a network area storage with some hard drives connected to one of the many USB ports on this little computer. Boot time from hitting the power button to to the login screen is 10 seconds. I have an I-5 and a full-blown gaming PC that has an Asus motherboard, 32. Gigs of ram and gaming video card takes 15 seconds to boot up. And it has a Samsung m.2 SSD right on the board. So this little machine really performs well. Comes with windows 11 pre-loaded and just takes a few minutes to get through the initial setup. I haven't played any high-end video games but it's handled low-end video games fine. Not a huge gamer anyways. But this little PC is sure. Does free up a lot of space. If you're looking for a good solid PC that is expandable and is plug and play, look no further and hit the buy now button. I highly recommend this. And It has exceeded my expectations. ... show more
