This ball is super cool, BRIGHTLY lit, and makes it possible to play basketball well after the sun goes down. While the material is not the same as a regular basketball, it absolutely bounces and works just like a regular ball. Yes, the content is stamped on, but does anyone really care about the stamped content on a ball? We're here to play and shoot, not sit and look at pretty basketball stamped lines! The price point is pretty awesome, considering if allows one to play ball well into the late evening. To get the most out of this purchase, I encourage my son to use his regular basketballs during the day but using this ball in the evening only. This way he can get the most out it and get it to last longer. My son eats, breathes and sleeps basketball. This present was purchased for Christmas 2020. We hadn't had the need to change out the batteries as this is mainly the ball he uses at night. I recently went to switch out the batteries with the company provided batteries but the lights didn't work. I tried my own set of batteries and those also didn't work. I used a battery tester and can confirm all sets of batteries (both from the company and my supply) were in good condition. While I hoped for the best but prepared for the worst, I reached out to GlowCity to see if they would consider sending replacement lights. WOW just wow. They were very quick to respond and sent out lights immediately. I just received the package and noticed they sent TWO sets of lights. In today's world, it is increasingly rare to find a company that actually cares about the customer and demonstrates this level of customer service. It's to the point that we've also all come to just accept that it is what it is. GlowCity provided a level of support that reminds you they still give a cr@p. Really cool ball, really great company!! Little a@$$**** keep stealing it cause they can play basketball after dark. That's great but this is the second one I've had to purchase in the summer. The kids act like moths to a flame with this ball. The teens like it too because it's not too far off from a court ball. it's a rec ball for outside play of course. I just sprayed the hoop with glow in the dark paint and they play for hours. I haven't had to replace the batteries because someone takes it home when I'm not around so I give up. The light is pretty bright. These are great Christmas gifts I guess. For every grad party (I have had 4) they play for hours so it keeps the boredom down for teens. Good grip and bounce. This is actually a pretty descent novelty ball. Batteries are not too hard to install. Glows pretty good. Had it for a little while. Lights up easily but doesn’t stay bright all the time. I also have the light up football that I recommend Also the baseball is cool. I love anything that lights up.

This basketball is well worth the price. My son loves playing with his friends when the sun goes down. Easy to see. Lights up well. Good grip. Comes with extra batteries that last long and are simple to change out. Would highly recommend to a friend that's why we bought two!

I purchased this light up ball for my 14 year old niece who LOVES basketball 🏀 as a GIFT so she can see "A" or THE" ball at night from now on. BUT Do not be deceived by the sellers picture or my picture. It looks super bright in the pictures but in person it does not look the way that you see my pictures that I Uploaded or even the sellers pictures. This makes a great gift for people who play at night at the city park or at home except Don't be surprised if they get disappointed because it's not as bright as its advertised that's why I gave it 3 stars I also gave the ball 3 stars because it's not easy to inflate. right out of the Box it was crumbled up I had to pump some air into it and then start pulling it apart little-by-little to make the shape of the ball and then keep pumping. I tried to take a picture with the lights off with the basketball turned on and I wont to be able to display the way that I see the ball in person versus pictures. Basically the basketball has 2 light bulbs and does not even light up the ball super duper bright because it's covered by some sort of clear transparent covering which you will see in the pictures In conclusion, it's NOT the sellers fault but the MANUFACTURERS fault buy at your own risk do not take my word for it. See for yourself. The ball is good and does bright up a little bit but the manufacturer could have done a better job 🙄🙄🏀🏀😒😒 ... show more
