Let me start off by saying I never write reviews, but I felt the need to share my experience with these! These are magic little chews. My dog’s anal glands got to the point that they were leaking pretty much everyday, even if I would express them on a regular basis. I could not take it anymore!! My vet recommended these so I was ready to try anything. I have been using them for 3 months now. I think I immediately saw results from these. I believe in the last 3 months I’ve had to express her anal glands 2 times? From every day to 2 times in 3 months?! No question. These things are AMAZING! Sooooo worth it. Backstory: I rescued a two-year old Doberman Pinscher named around nine months ago who, until I took her to the vet for the first time, had likely never had an anal gland expression or nail trim. During that visit the vet found both anal glands severely infected. Three months and two rounds of steroids/antibiotics later, there was only a slight improvement. Then we started her on a hypoallergenic food trial, which did help her myriad of other allergy issues but one of her anal glands remained infected. A couple of months ago, I saw this product recommended on several FB groups so I figured I'd give it a try. I'M SO HAPPY I DID! My dog's chronic infections cleared within a month since starting on this supplement and instead of taking her in to have her glands expressed every two weeks, now I only have to take her once every month or two and they're never full enough to cause her discomfort. tl;dr I Highly recommend this product! I got these for my little chihuahua after she had developed some stomach issues that landed her staying the night at the vet. Luckly there was nothing majorly wrong. She just needs more fiber and she has a prescribed food now. Well she is supposed to have pumpkin and she does NOT like regular canned pumpkin. So I got these for her and talked with vet and she said this would be a good alternative. These really work. My dog - 30lbs - needs her glands expressed a few times a year. She'll nonstop lick her butt like crazy so after she was licking for almost two weeks straight I decided to try these and 3 days later she stopped licking completely. It definitely works for my pug Daisy and she doesn't mind having it I add it with her kibble and she gobbles everything up as far as the anal juice goes it seems to put it at Bay but I still recommend once in awhile to go having extraction at the vet but since I've been using it for the last 3 months I noticed right off the bat the first two weeks it started to work really good check with your vet first before purchasing it and get their opinion first that's what I did. ... show more
