The opener is fine, but installation following the enclosed paper instructions kept not working until I discovered a DIFFERENT ID CODE for my opener brand in the instructions stuck to the inside of the keypad cover. My Overhead Door Opener is 4 years old. This wireless key pad was obviously returned as the instructions said to remove activation tab and it was missing. I still pressed forward as the lights lit up on the pad. There are 3 codes to try to for Overhead Door and none of them worked. It is a good working garage door opener, there was a bit of frustration with the install, I had to guess the correct code for my opener. I would say overall it took about 30 min to set up and install. I works well does what its superposed to, I am just hopping that it will last a bunch of years. I did not need to use the support offered from the seller, I was able to install it myself, the instructions were a little fuzzy, but in the end we were able to figure it out.     • Better Features Than Original at a Fraction of the Price

I looked at a number of replacement keypads for my 12 year old Overhead Door Odyssey 1000 opener and this one seemed to have the widest compatibility. There was some confusion on my part with regard to putting my opener into Programming/Learning mode (it required pressing the Programming button twice). After that, programming the new keypad took trying the second of five possible ID codes for my Brand/Model door opener which was relatively quick and simple. The keypad works better than the original because the buttons work more reliably and also produce a "beep" when pressed. Also, the backlighting of the keys is much brighter and thereby more readable in the dark than the original. All this and a price less than half the cost of a replacement from the manufacturer makes me a satisfied customer. ... show more
