  • The PSU Died Almost Immediately.
Style: GP-P750GM – 750W 80 Plus Gold
Installed this hours after it arrived. Only got about 2 hours of use out of it before it completely failed. The PSU is a brick now. Will not buy Gigabyte again. Surprisingly my Bronze EVGA with a lower wattage now powers the system in the meantime while I search for a replacement.

  • Fried two hard drives
Style: GP-P850GM - 850W 80 Plus Gold
Picked this power supply because it was cheaper than the others I was looking at in the 850w range. Wished I had heeded the other negative reviews. Its very much not worth the risk of having it catch on fire, melt or, in my case, destroy your drive controllers. I'm lucky more expensive components were not damaged but, after replacing my old PSU, turned the system on, heard a small pop and no longer had a boot drive. You may buy this PSU and have no issues but, from experience, it is NOT WORTH the risk to save a couple bucks. The headache this has caused is immeasurable. I have not heard back from Gigabyte customer support on this issue so I am still having to deal with the fallout of this choice weeks later. Spend an extra $50-100 on another manufacturer and save yourself the trouble. ... show more

  • Nice and quiet.
Style: GP-P650B - 650W 80 Plus Bronze
i bought this unit used, price undisclosed for prevention of jealousy and envy heh heh, but it was a steal of a deal. It works fine with a Strix 1060 6GB. Been using it for a weeks now with no issues but i will update if any arise. PROs: 1) Quiet 2) delivers the promised power 3) long enough 24pin and supplimental 8pin for a NZXT Phantom 630 4) Nice matte black color CONs: 1) Not modular 2) connectors are not labelled so a novice may make mistakes and cause problems 3) the ketchup and mustard wires show through the thin sheath Thank you Gigabyte and amazon for this one. ... show more

  • Loose screw inside power supply!
Style: GP-P850GM - 850W 80 Plus Gold
It's difficult to see in the picture so zoom in, there was a loose screw inside the power supply when I got it out of the box. Thankfully I heard it rattling around, and was able to get it to the fan shroud to see it. This could easily explain why other people have experienced catastrophic failures, fires, and component damage. This is likely a screw from an internal part that was not glued down and came out during shipping.. or was never installed in the first place. Whichever company Gigabyte is sourcing these power supplies from needs better QA.. or to simply glue the dang screw down... I cut open the fan shroud and got the screw, power supply is working fine as of now... I'll update if that changes. ... show more

  • Coil Whine, Noisy Fan - returned.
Style: GP-P850GM - 850W 80 Plus Gold
I used a Seasonic 660W 80+ platinum in my system for years. After (luckily) scoring an EVGA RTX 3080, I needed a little more horsepower to push it. This one seemed like it had decent reviews and the price was right, considering these are all overpriced right now. Install was as expected, the cables are nice. After booting up and setting my fan curves on my new build I fired up some Warzone and immediately heard it, that hissing/scratching/frequency sound coming from the computer. The coil wine was horrible. After playing for a few minutes the fan spun up and started clicking. So now I had a perfectly quiet system aside from this power supply. I returned it and ordered another Seasonic 80+ platinum. It's more expensive, but you get what you pay for. All is well in the world. ... show more

  • It works but I don't feel my computer safe with this
Style: GP-P750GM – 750W 80 Plus Gold
It makes a hard "click" every time I turn on/off my system. Sometimes it generates static and gives me a little electric shock when I'm about to hit the power switch ... that never happened with my old PSU (other brand) .

  • READ BEFORE BUYING - HORRIBLLE EXPERIENCE
Style: GP-P850GM - 850W 80 Plus Gold
I picked this power supply up with high hopes for me first ever computer build. Let me tell you, this experience was anything but enjoyable. This had nothing to do with product defects, but everything to do with how the manufacturer made this product. This is a fully modular PSU, but I had a MAJOR issue with it. To start, the PCIe cables that are included in this package are either daisy chained (1 cable into the PSU, 2 PCIe out) or an 8-pin that is 2x 4-pin connectors slid together. For my GPU(I have the 3080 Ti which has 3x PCIe ports), the PCIe cables that were not daisy chained would not even fit into the power ports due to the fact that they were 2x 4-pin connectors put together. The daisy chained ones fit just fine, but they're not recommended for GPU use by users, the manufacturer, and cause a decrease in performance. Even with that in mind, it wouldn't be a good idea to leave an odd one out because it would be an extra risk. After all this I still had some hope, but that didn't last long. I decided that I would just purchase new PCIe connectors since this is a fully-modular design. I was wrong. Gigabyte doesn't sell any replacement cords and there were no 3rd party sellers that have them either. I just couldn't believe it when I saw this for a fully modular PSU. If you're not going to be building a newish gaming computer or are building a system without a GPU (not sure why you would be getting an 850W PSU then), then this would work out fine. On the other hand, if you are DO NOT BUY THIS. It'll save you alot of time and keep your blood pressure where it needs to be at! ... show more

  • Runs smooth
Style: GP-P650B - 650W 80 Plus Bronze
heavy like a brick, runs very cool and quite I should have opted for a modular one, this one has more connections then i needed and had trouble hiding all the others that i didnt need. Works very good, no complaints here.
