  • works in 2012 mac pro 5,1
Installed in my 2012 Mac Pro and it works pretty good actually. Native mojave / metal support oob Scored 1200 in Geekbench metal benchmark. Would not start the opencl benchmark. Plays back youtube at 1080p/60 with no problem. macOS animations are pretty smooth. Works in Final Cut Pro What more can you ask? Well, a lot. It works fine, but it is noticeably slow. I was hoping to pair this with an AMD 7950 or GTX 680 to get some extra monitors, save some power, cut down on heat and noise and only use 1 precious pcie slot, but it just would not work with another card. It only works by itself. I don't know why, but I tried a lot of different stuff only to fail. I had to go back to my rx 560 as my secondary card, which works fine with gtx 680 or amd 7950, but takes up two slots uses the whole 75watts from pcie slot and generates reasonable heat. Maybe I will try a gt 730 next? Still no room for my nvme ssd. Sad. ... show more

  • Good card. Bad fan.
Two months in, and the fan is grinding away, going very slowly. Not sure what to do about it, since Gigabyte NEVER answers customer service requests. Last one took six months to get a reply. It's a good card, but the fan should last longer that this.

  • Amazing card but not great price to performance
To gamers that have been playing for 15 fps most of their life so far, this card will be great for gaming on things like Roblox, Minecraft, or Valorant, this thing overclocks really good, double the performance after oc, Roblox after oc will get you around 60 fps at max settings depending on the game, Minecraft will be able to handle light shaders and Valorant 60 fps high settings at 720p. ... show more

  • Perfect for low gamming
It is the solution for low gamming and video... Support 300-500 mhz overclock no problem... run CSGO to 80fps... The fan is very cheap but is easy to replace... The card have good temps and overclock capacity

  • Compatability Issues
I purchased this for an older Dell home server both for the HDMI connection and so that the server could crank on Folding at Home simulations with its excess capacity. I verified the spec-level compatibility before purchasing and I'm fairly knowledgeable with computer hardware. But I was never able to get the card to work in that server. I did put it into a newer Dell workstation at work and it works OK in that machine. Only complaint is that the fan is noisy. ... show more

  • Great value.
The card isn't great for video games but it will play some at playable framerates. It's nearly silent at idle and barely audible even at full load. The PCB is a little thin IMO it seems to be bowing a little under the spring load of the cooler. With Windows 10 the install was effortless and everything worked well with the card. I would recommend to anyone having and older PC with built in graphics who wish to add a bit smoother response and some snap to their system. ... show more

  • Good card for basic things
I bought this from Amazon sometime in February 2021 for $35 new, not a third party. It was impossible to find a graphics card so I though at least having this would do until I could get something mid-tier. Even though I built my pc at the worst time, I have to say, for games, this little card has done admirably. It can't play many (if any) real recent games at high settings, but id just stated gaming on the pc and wanted to play the back catalog I've been thinking about since I was young, so I'd never really tried to many new ones like 2021 COD or the newest MOBA. Fallout New vegas has played very well in the beginning and middlish parts of the story, the graphics and frame rate are a bit better than an Xbox 360. Endgame is pretty rough though, cant have to many high leveled enemies on the screen at a time, or it will crash. I did beat Starcraft 1 on it, but thats also not a very graphicly demanding game, I had a ryzen 1600. From what I can see Doom 3 looks pretty great, fps is probably 30 frames. I tried to load Starcraft 2 a couple times, but the menu looked like it was chugging so I didn't even bother trying to play. Stay away from games past 2010 and you should be fine. ... show more

  • Great upgrade for my daughters school pc
Upgraded my daughters Inspiron 570, handles light gaming well, increased system performance over using onboard graphics, absolutely silent actively cooled card, no need for an upgraded psu to run it. Low profile (and really small, actually) card. Runs at lower end of expected temperature spectrum, even under load. Easy peasy installation. Extremely happy with my purchase. ... show more
