  • Fully Featured Motherboard
Style: B650M AORUS ELITE AX
The GIGABYTE B650M AORUS Elite AX has everything you could possibly need in a motherboard. Pros: - The VRMs stay nice and cool, ensuring stable performance. - The board is easy to build on with plenty of included hardware. - Subtle RGB lighting adds a nice touch without being overwhelming. - Easy NVMe SSD installation. - Lots of I/O ports. Cons: - Gigabyte's software isn't fantastic, but it's not necessary to use it. - I wish it had BIOS error codes directly on the board. - The UEFI menu is tough to navigate. Overall, this motherboard offers fantastic features and performance, making it a great choice for any build. ... show more

  • Excellent, nice boot time and features
Style: B650M AORUS ELITE AX
Great heatsinks and motherboard plug options. Has everything you will ever need! Mine had no coil whine, I tried 2 boards just to make sure. The coil whine issue is really overstated. Nice fan headers, RGB headers, and place for m2 ssds. Heatsink on the VRM is top notch, not that it's needed anyway. GPU retention clip is nicely made, and quality motherboard with enough USB ports for anyone. Has the gen2 2x2 USB for future proofing. Don't be afraid to buy it used, and save some money. The coil whine issue is overstated. High quality all around and POSTed first try with both boards. My bios boot time in task manager is 11-12 seconds. From power off to windows desktop is about 18 seconds. Excellent product, great job Gigabyte!! ... show more

  • Unreliable, Black/Blue Screening Issues Over Year of Usage
Style: B650M AORUS ELITE AX
When originally purchased motherboard for my build I updated BIOS from F3 -> F7 (the newest update at the time) which was supposed to fix compatibility issues with the new 7000 series of chips (7800x3d in my case). After updating the BIOS and completing my build everything was running great until a month later when my PC started encountering random artifacting/black screen crashes once or twice per week. The issue continued even after updating and repairing all graphical drivers. Crashes were infrequent enough for me to ignore until a 6 months later when I decided to update the BIOS to attempt to fix the issue. Updating the BIOS from F7 -> F21 amazingly fixed the artifacting/blackscreen crashes, meaning the issue was BIOS related. However, now my PC is facing a different random and infrequent Blue screen crash (Windows has run into a problem). The PC will then automatically reboot and run perfectly fine afterwards until the next crash a couple weeks later. I can only assume the crashing issue is again related to poor BIOS support from Gigabyte. If some of the most recent BIOS are still causing crashing, I can't confidently recommend this board. Especially with other recent reviews showing sellers are still sending old Rev. boards with outdated BIOS and crashing issues. ... show more

  • great board for a good price, plenty of options
Style: B650M AORUS ELITE AX
*b650 with good heatsinks *wifi *mulitple ARGB headers -downloaded correct bios from site, q-flasher wouldn't take them, control center was able to install updated bios. some research online said gigabyte may require incremental updates. aka 1 at a time. Great little board. I set it up with a 7900x and a 32gb ddr5-6000 cl30. Very happy with it and gigabyte bios are easy to use. Only hiccup was I wanted to update the bios and went to the gigabyte website. I triple checked I had the right file but loading into Q-flasher on startup it said it was incorrect. Using Gigabyte control center in windows I was able to update but I do not like motherboard software suites. After searching online some people reported that you need to incrementally update versions aka F20-->21-->30-->31. This seemed silly to me but ultimately the software center did it then I uninstalled the software. ... show more

  • Many features for the price, but eh
Style: B650M AORUS ELITE AX
This board is packed with features, and even has wifi which is nice so I can test connections when needed. The board seems well-built. The m.2 quick latches should become standard on all boards, they are nice! Having that extra pcie slot on an M board is also a great nice-to-have. Sometimes there is a red light that just stays on sometimes, it's some bios reset option I assume, but it's a tad annoying, but also it's not on right now so heh. I'm not a big fan of rgb but this does it nicely. My biggest gripes are the software and updating the bios. The software at first seems really nice, it checked for new drivers, and allowed me to download them all at once, however, they packaged Norton with it (though you can uncheck that box it was still offputting and I didn't see it until it was almost too late) and updated by firmware but not to the latest firmware. When I tried doing a manual bios update myself I ran into some frustrating issues of the bios updater not being able to read the file, I had to click on the file instead of hit next even though it was the only file, otherwise it would keep saying file not found. But, after that issue was resolved by clicking, it then said invalid image file. I still haven't been able to update my bios, and my version doesn't fix the voltage issue with the 7800x3d, so that's a bit concerning. The documentation from Gigabyte was not any help at all. For the price, this board is unmatched. I even saw it have some solid recommendations from some techs on youtube after I bought it. Everything works great, though I wish it had better onboard audio, a way to change the color of that red led on the bios button, better documentation, and not throwing unneeded or bad (norton) software in the list of driver downloads. ... show more

  • Great micro-atx motherboard
Style: B650M AORUS ELITE AX
Built my pc with this motherboard and was surprised I didn't need to flash the bios or troubleshoot a lot of stuff to get it to work Although the wifi drivers didn't come preinstalled it was a quick fix Easy to use bios interface and motherboard controls Overall a great buy
