    • Great Motherboard but be careful
The motherboard works as expected but it doesn’t has Q-Flash and it’s only ryzen 3000 ready. So if you’re planning to use it with a 5000 generation or above, you will need to update BIOS with and old gen.

    • Great for the price, but not for reliability
The motherboard functions as normal. Nothing wrong. I had purchased the motherboard to do away with a proprietary dell motherboard, and to cannibalize parts from several prebuilt computers, and it has worked perfectly for that. There are a few issues such as the fact that it is not a full size ATX motherboard, which means that it has no support on the edges where the ports and connectors are located, making the procedure of installing or removing connectors a rather risky operation. Even minor pressure to the edge of the board causes more flexing than I am comfortable with. In summary, it's a good budget motherboard, but unlikely to be one that lasts more than a few years. ... show more

Had zero issues with install, I actually replaced a second hand 350 board with this one and it's definitely a much more stable board. I still have a first gen ryzen 5 1600 and it was plug and play with this board. Also my ram works well at advertised speeds of 3200 now vs when I had the 350 board xmp would not enable. One nvme slot comes with a cooler and pre applied thermal pad it does disable 2 of the sata slot with the nvme drive installed which doesn't bother me but seems odd, must use those lanes Atwell. But over all very good board and rgb works great as well. ... show more

    • Problems with memory.
I originally wrote a poor review on this board due to memory issues, but it turns out that the issue was not with the board, but with the version of memory I am using. Apparently buying Corsair Vengeance memory modules is like playing the lottery. You never know what die you are going to get and if it will work with the same part number if you order it again later. That said, otherwise, the board seems to work very well. One star off for extremely slow support ticket response though. ... show more

    • Needs bios update for gen 3 Ryzen chips.
I’m sure this is a fine board. I’ve bought other gigabyte products in the past and they’ve been fine. However, this claims to work with gen 3 Ryzen processors like the 5600x, but only on a little card in the box do they tell you it requires a bios update. That would be fine, except this board won’t post with an unsupported processor in the socket, and doesn’t have a flash-port to update your bios without a CPU. The only way you can do it is to take it to a store and have them flash the bios for you, or AMD will send you a hamstrung Athlon 2 to plug into the socket so that you can update the bios, which you have yo mail back to them. Not really acceptable either way. If you have a later gen Ryzen chip, 5 series or later, just save yourself a headache and get a B550 instead that will plug and play. ... show more
