    • Great so Far! Love it!
Being broke and in a situation where I am constantly living in apartments my only option had been hand wash or go to a laundromat. I do not have transportation so a laundromat was always dependent on whether or not I had enough money to spend on a cab plus the amount to get things washed and dried in the machines. I saved up for this little guy, and it has been amazing. It is just a washer so I have to air dry my clothes after, but it does such a good job. It is small so the loads need to be decently split up for larger items. It also can't handle big comforters/blankets. I didn't much like the hose, and would probably have to get one that would fit onto my faucet, but honestly you could just use a bucket. I fill the water up and run the wash cycle twice once with soap, once for the rinse, and than do a spin cycle. Being I fill the machine manually the short rinse cycle seems very wasteful and time consuming. Maybe this is blasphemy, but it cleans and rinses perfect. My clothes aren't super dirty so maybe if they were I would soak or run it through another time. It is so much better than hand washing, and it has been about 2 years since purchase. If and when it fails I will probably edit to note how it failed but it is still perfect. ... show more

    • Great little machine ! And can fit under counter
For the money and the size, it is a great little machine. I have been using for a month now, and so far so good. Our community's laundry room is quite a distance away, so having an at-home option is great. We still use those large machines in the common laundry for large items, but the Giantex Portable Compact purchased as been great for laundering the more frequently used smaller laundry items (socks, pajamas, T-shirts, etc). It is quiet (doesn't vibrate like some front loads can), convenient, and does a good job on the laundry. Everything hooked right up to my kitchen sink (I have a Moen single lever goose neck faucet with removable aerator - and once the removable inner washer was removed from the threaded screw-on connection nozzle that was supplied with the washer (it was attached to the white hose when the washer was unboxed), ...it hooked up fine. (we went to the local hardware store with the connection nozzle and the faucet's aerator thinking we had to buy something, but the man at the hardware store showed us that all we needed to do was remove the little inner black rubber washer from the manufacturer's supplied part to reveal those inside threads - they matched up perfectly with our faucet's connections threads.) The previous Amazon reviews and suggestions were very helpful prior to my purchase, ...so perhaps some suggestions might be: don't leave the drain hose unattended or unsecured while in use (can change direction when draining if not secure). Lay a hand towel over the disconnect when taking the washer water supply hose off of kitchen faucet (still has pressure, can splash water). Then drain the 2 hoses downward into a bucket or trash can to collect any leftover water in lines before stowing. And, use a hand towel around white hose disconnect located on the top of the washer before removing - to catch any leftover water there. All in all, this is a very good little machine - it save trips to the common laundry. I teamed mine up with an (expensive) 110 heat pump/ventless clothes dryer.     • Works great and remarkably durable
I use this in an RV and I travel often. little gem gets dirty clothes really clean! Small capacity, don’t overload and you will get best results. I run all four cycles including the soak mode which seems to get best results. Portable, easy to move and set up. Well worth the money

    • Poor quality control- Piece of junk right out of the box. Comes with free mold!
The media could not be loaded. I could hear water water sloshing around in the machine when it arrived and I brought it inside- the machine comes with a nice little water damaged packing slip that says the liquid is from quality control testing- they're either lying and selling used returned machines as brand new, or they are not adequately draining the machines during said testing and delivering customers brand new machines with musty moldy factory water in them. Neither is really acceptable. The lid was janky and defective right out the box- It would not open/close appropriately or consistently because it did not sit properly on its plastic hinge pin. Even when manually popped back into place it would just pop back off when attempting to close the lid on the machine. I've gone through two other portable washers and had to throw them out after this part of the machine broke, as it is basically impossible to fix, and the machine ceases to function once it goes (there's a tension strap attached to the lid which prevents the machine from running when the lid is open- when the hinge breaks there is permanent slack on the strap and the machine wont run). I'm sure it's a lovely machine if you can get one that was put together and tested appropriately, but this thing had too many problems right out of the box for the price point it is offered at for me to trust the brand. Not going to waste my time with something that can't do the bare minimum out of the box and already has end of life symptoms before I even unwrapped it. ... show more
