I finally decided to bite the bullet and get an organizer for my fishing rods, after browsing around for awhile I found this unit from ghosthorn. Liking the price I decided to give it a shot. Assembly took all of five minutes and did not require any tools other than what is provided in the box. It turns smoothly, and holds all but the largest of my surf rods. Even then, the rod clamps are held in by a simple screw so they can be replaced if you have thicker fishing rods. I was concerned with stability of the unit, but to my surprise it was very sturdy. If you wanted to place a tacklebox or other piece of equipment on it, I would not be concerned of the unit collapsing. Overall an excellent buy. ... show more

The rod holder itself was very quick and easy to build. Came with a couple allen keys for the screws and even came with some small round rubber mats to stick on the bottom of the base so it does not slide around and scratch the floor, which was a plus! The quality of the wood is good for the price, spins smoothly once it has some weight on it, and the rubber clips that hold the rods are perfect because they won’t scratch your rods and are very durable. (If you’re putting this rod holder in a room with 8ft ceilings, you can definitely put rods on it up to 7’10”) Overall, this is a great rod holder for the money and is a must have if you want to keep your rods organized in a presentable way. ... show more
