This mattress is amazing. We let it "expand" for around 30 hours and put it on the bed, after that it's been deep sleep and good dreams! My husband is a "sweater" and while he still gets a little warm in this bed he doesn't sweat so that is huge! I, on the other hand, am always cold but this bed doesn't make that ay worse...I feel I sleep at the same temperature as before. One thing they don't outwardly advertise is the lack of transfer of movement, when one person is thrashing in the bed at night the other won' hardly feel it! Truly has made a huge difference in me sleeping through my husband alligator rolling in the night! Full disclosure: I'm a big fella. I bought this after having another foam mattress that was too hot and didn't offer me the back support I needed. At first, it seemed to be great. After about a year, I started to notice changes in my sleep and a bit of a divet in usual sleeping spot, so I rotated it 180 degrees. Problem solved....for about 6 months...so I rotated again. TLDR: the rotation tricks no longer work and now it's just one big saggy spot. For what I paid, I'm not exactly thrilled. I know I won't get 20 years out of any mattress, but less than 5? Come on. AMAZING! I sleep VERY hot. Most night, I end up sweating and I wake up soaked. This bed had kept me cool though! It is the best bed I have ever owned. Was a little skeptical ordering online and paying SO much for it. But now I don’t think I could ever live without it!

This is way too hard for me in general, they need to advertise "medium firm" type of bed more, I thought it would be way softer, it being a foam bed withj so many layers while I cant blame it for my lack of perception, I can say that its farily ahrder than I expected, but in its defense, it does keep you fairly cool ... show more

    • GHOSTBED WAS A BAD PURCHASE AND COSTLY MISTAKE!

My husband and I bought a Ghost Bed Spilt King Mattress 3 D Matrix bed combo with adjust base. WE DID NOT BUY IT THRU AMAZON. . We bought it online directly from GhostBed website. This was ONE OF THE WORST PURCHASES THAT I I HAVE MADE IN MY LIFE. First let me say I made an error in my online order and mistakenly ordered the wrong mattress and that was on me. I had wanted to order a Hybrid Deluxe and GhostBed has a policy that if you make an error in ordering that they will not change or help you correct it. It was my error but I figured that this 3D Matrix bed was the best bed that GhostBed had to offer at that time, well, all would be even better! Boy was I wrong! Here is why: 1. Shipping and Delivery was not smooth. It was terrible. Everything every piece came in piecemeal, and it took about 3 weeks for every component to make the bed to arrive. The 2 Mattresses were delivered one at a time. Apparently there is a WHITE-GLOVE delivery option with setup that you can buy. I missed that somehow. So I got the free delivery which I love to call the BROWN GLOVE delivery. ;-/ 2. As for the bed, it is NOT FIRM SUPPORT. There was NO SUPPORT on any of the sides of the bed. We could NOT lay near any of the sides of the bed due to no support whatsoever. We could not sit on the foot or sides of the bed. We had to be mindful to sit at least 12-14” away from the edge of the bed or it would collapse under us and SPLAT!!! you would end up on the floor. So most of the mattress was unusable. An Eastern King is a HUGE bed. A Split King is 2 Twin Xl that are each about 39” wide, but if you can’t use 12” on right or left side of the bed or lay in the center of the bed, well, that leaves only 14” in the center of each twin XL to sleep on. In order to rollover we would have to roll like a hotdog on the roller grill at the 7/11. We called the center of the bed “The Grand Canyon” because you could end up wedged in the crevice. When I contacted GhostBed regarding this mattress, the GhostBed representative said our mattress could have “voids” in it but I have now read that this was a very common complaint. It was like sleeping on freezing cold blob of mush. 3. Regarding the Adjustable Base, the raised head position was too far down in the center of the bed and it felt like it was shoving us further down the bed. IMPORTANT NOTE: THE ADJUSTABLE BASES ARE NOT RETURNABLE NO MATTER WHAT. We do not like the adjustable bases so we do not use them. 4. Within the first month we both knew that this bed is not for us. We both had more body aches and pains when we woke up than when we went to bed . So we decided to return/donate our bed as GhostBed claims we could do. 5) So this was our return experience. The return process is NOT a smooth easy, painless process. YOU WILL LOSE BIG $$$$&& IN THE REFUND.. When we bought our bed there was a 40% off discount on everything. Bed, Bases, Bundles…everything. We ended up paying $4379. Plus taxes and fees. The discounted price that we paid at pichase for the 2 Twin XL mattresses was $2700 for the Split King Bed and the discounted price was $1679. for the 2 adjustable bases THAT ARE NOT RETURNABLE. My refund for the 2 Twin XL that make up a Split King I was only $1761.12. THAT’S A LOSS OF $938.88!!! Why? Because GhostBed apparently has a policy which I didn’t comprehend as it was written, that if or when you return your mattresses and you bought it as a bundle with the nonreturnable bases and you got a discount, that 40% is taken away from your refund. I still don’t comprehend why they would do that but what company would have any worries about receiving bad reviews or have any incentive to produce a good quality product if they got to keep almost $940 for a return/donation and then also get a donation write off to boot? Why be worried when one is making money? I have found that if you purchase from GhostBed that you will somehow come up on the short end of the stick so you better be sure that you know and like the bed before you buy it. And finally: 6. GHOSTBED IS NOT ACCREDITED BY BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. Read the complaints. I wish I had done more research regarding the Company reputation and it’s real and actual policies, not the advertised vague mumble jumble that they want you to believe. ... show more
