If you're the type to have dinner parties, these will set you apart from the regular people with their regular forks and stuff. They look pretty wild. As a bonus, when asked about them, you can say they were in the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey." Basically, they work, which is all you can ask for cutlery. The tines on the fork are rather short, giving it an almost "spork-like" appearance. You won't be stabbing as much food as you usually might, though. ... show more

This is a wonderful pattern and wonderfully fabricated. However, I just ordered a 5-piece flatware set and the knife is not the same one pictured. Instead I received the large hollow knife. It has a much longer blade and shorter handle and overall is greater in length. The one pictured actually works better with the other flatware pieces. ... show more

I bought I set to see if I liked them before investing in a complete replacement for my current flatware. I love the look of these, I find the spoons to be surprisingly comfortable in my mouth, but overall the set feels flimsy in my hand. I had 5 friends over and asked their thoughts (without offering mine first), and they, too, agreed that they were too lightweight. I sent a photo to my dad though, and when he didn’t respond for a couple days, I directly asked his thoughts, and my friends and I all agree - it was worth my purchase to get his review: “I think it depends if you want to play with your food or eat it. I had no idea you would have paid for these. I would have guessed you got them free out of a Cracker Jax box. The knife is the flimsiest I have ever seen. Too small for a fish knife and too narrow for jelly. The forks look dangerous and the spoons are too shallow for soup. Are you my daughter? These look like an over thought back to stone age. Or, I Could be nice and say that they are not my most favorite:) Would you like a loan for a real set?” ... show more

I so want this to be better than it is. The design is stunning and the feel and functionality is wonderful. Each piece fits in the hand and is well balanced. Totally agree with the other reviews that the quality is severely lacking, especially for the price you pay. Water spots are horrendous if you don't dry them right away. Half the time I find myself having to re-wash pieces because I can't wipe off the water spots, so I have to plan on drying everything if I don't want to take that gamble. The matte finish scratches off with a bizarre ease, and I hand wash everything and one to carefully wash and handle all my flatware. Why is this so bad??? I don't know if I would choose this if I were shopping for new silverware again. ... show more
