    • This worked, but...
This absolutely worked. However please know that the colors of the wires didn't sync up with what was indicated in the tech instructions from Nissan. I was installing an auto dimming mirror in a 2017 Sentra. The newest tech pub on nissantech told you which wires on the mirror harness went to which colors on the accessory harness. In this case, red for batt, orange for accessory, and black for ground. Well black was in fact a ground, but red and orange run to absent pins on the body harness. Had to ring out the other pins to find a batt and accessory, and find the matching colors on the accessory harness. Batt and accessory were in the correct positions on the connector, but had different colored wires, in this case, white and purple. I'm sure this part is genuine and this is simply an example of Nissan being Nissan. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Follow the pin out, and ignore the color key. ... show more

I have bought several of these over the years, first for a Rogue and more recently a Murano (but this is applicable to all recent Nissan models). Basically it is a connector with color coded wire ends that allow for various circuit connections (e.g. battery, ground, driver door switch, front passenger door switch, etc.). Depending on the model, there will be a place for one or two of these, basically one somewhere on the driver side and the other typically somewhere near the glove box. But it is important to know that you may already have one or both installed if you have any of various optional electrical accessories: illuminated kick plates, inductive phone charger, interior accent lighting, etc. In those cases, if installed to instructions, you'll find some of the wires already connected via posi-taps and taped up into a big cushioned ball to eliminate rattling. You can still potentially tap the circuits however, if there's enough room left on the wire. I'm giving it 4 stars not because I've encountered any issues but because it is a bit ridiculous as to what some charge for these things. ... show more
