So happy this is a ceramic plate! My 10 year old niece uses this for every meal and loves it! Solid product. Younger than maybe 6 or 7 may need an adult to help them carry with food on it, might be a wee bit heavy for little hands, but I believe once they get to the table, they'll love it!

I like to eat, and so do my friends. Why not make it a little more fun. You should buy these plates, make some food and post your creations on facebook and twitter. They are like a happy friend who says "don't leave me bald, have some more garlic mashed". Cooking for that special someone? maybe they are missing all your subtle clues and suggestive hints.You would not believe how truly easy it is to make these plates anything from cute and suggestive to down right filthy. have trouble telling your partner about your special desires? hand your loved one a plate of yummy food and when they get to the bottom if there is a strip of duct tape over the mouth this plate will say it for you. Also fun for kids ...but not in the way described above cuz that would just be sick. ... show more

I'm currently on this kick to get all the plastics kitchen ware out of our house. It is very difficult to find children's china or stoneware dinner ware. Everything seems to be plastic or melamine which is not microwave safe... I find that terribly inconvenient. Don't toddlers eat warm food too? I was excited to find this and thought it'd be great fun for him. I like dressing Fred's face up when I serve my son dinner. It's great fun and turns mealtime into a bit more than just carrots and peas! The only disappointment is that it is rather heavy. I allow my son to help us clear the table and he sometimes has a hard time carrying his plate to the sink because it's so heavy. Sort of pricey too although I guess it's more of a gift item than something you'd buy more than one of. ... show more

We received one of these as a gift and my two kids fought over it so much I had to buy another one! I'll admit, we DO NOT have picky eaters. My kids will eat anything, so I can't comment if it helps kids eat better. But I can say it inspires creativity, it gives us something to talk about at dinner time (have you ever tried to have dinner conversation with a 2 and 4 year old?!?) and it makes them feel special that they have their own plate. I also like that they're using a proper ceramic plate and not tempted to throw it for fear it might break. Both kids love their plate so much they respect it, and the food that's on it. ... show more
