    • Unbelieveably Quiet, Great Features and Integration
I primarily wanted one of these wall mount openers after staying at an Air BnB and noticing how quiet their door opened. My toddler would wake up whenever I used the door opener since his room was directly above the garage, so I would end up manually lifting the garage open and closed....which as you can imagine got old pretty quickly. I installed this system myself using nothing more than an impact driver with a few different bits and a level. Difficulty level out of 10 I would say is a 5. Nothing really difficult, just lots of steps that involve standing on a ladder, running wire, etc. The step-by-step video instructions using the Bilt app is far more useful than I thought it would be, so nice job there. I watched the instructions on my phone from start to finish before taking any of the parts out of the box so I highly recommend doing that. Having the ability to replay setting lift max and bottom max configuration is great as well as programming the home link remote on my vehicles. Things I love: 1. It so much quieter than the screw drive opener that came with the house. I can sit in my toddler's room and operate the door and not hear a thing. 2. Extra security using the Aladdin app is great, I get notifications when my door opens and closes, I set rules for the door so it shouldn't be open for more than 5 minutes between 10pm and 6am, and I love the automatically engaging lock that physically stops the roller from moving up the track. 3. The included light is nice and bright, and I love that it takes the place on the ceiling where the old opener was and uses the old outlet. 4. The backup battery, its one of those things that I won't appreciate until I need it in a power outage. Hopefully that day isn't any time soon. Other notes: I also replaced the roller wheels to a sealed nylon wheel and the door is even quieter than I imagined. I don't really see myself using the service that allows amazon drivers to open the door and place packages inside unless I absolutely need to, like if I buy something really expensive and I know I won't be home. Just doesn't seem worth it to me to give that kind of access. ... show more

Downsides: more expensive than other systems, may not fit some very specific and rare garage door/wall/ceiling clearances and designs. The provided staples to secure the provided wires are, to be blunt, completely useless unless you can drive them into exposed wood. They are useless on drywall. NOTE: I bought some screw-based wire fasteners to work with drywall for $5 and threw out the joke staples. This resolved the issue with the only unsatisfactory component in the installation kit. Upsides: Everything else. -This opener is incredibly quiet and the vibration in our upstairs housemates' floor basically vanished along with the noise. If their TV is on they can no longer hear or feel the garage opening at all. You literally have to experience it to believe it - most YouTube comparison videos don't do it justice because their microphone is pointed at the opener which makes the motor whine sound much louder than it actually is. -The installation was easy. It took two dummies with a mish mash of proper and improper tools 8 hours. Someone with the slightest bit of previous knowhow could do this in half the time or less. Installing the ceiling light and wall remote were super easy. -The light and wall remote are wireless, though the wall remote has a wiring option to not rely on battery power. They come mostly pre-programmed from the factory. Pairing the wall remote was a 2-step process that involved 2 buttons and took less than 60 seconds. -The car remote was also pre-programmed. -Everything remote comes with batteries. -This model comes with a battery backup that'll cycle a 16 ft door 10-30 times with power out. -The installation provides more than ample wire for all but the most massive garages. -The deadbolt security lock is a cut above competitors, I think they added some kind of padded internals to stop the loud clack when the lock engages. It's audible but barely. It's also a nice feature on jackshaft openers that makes your door almost impossible to open when locked without specialized tools. -The ceiling light is impressively bright for a 20x20 standard 2 car garage. Combined this with DURA-LIFT Titan Premium 2 in. Sealed 6200ZZ Nylon Garage Door Rollers because after installing the door, the rollers were the loudest remaining part of the system. The combination is incredible, and the lack of vibration will make the entire system last longer.
