Description

General Tools Angle Protractor 17 Stainless Steel Square Head - Measuring Tool for Carpenters & Woodworking Hobbyists For all the carpentry DIYers out there, the General Tools Angle Protractor Stainless Steel Square Head will guide you through finding your angle points for any home, school, or work project. First, you'll want to loosen the nut in the center of the protractor arm. Place the square head on one leg of the angle while the protractor's nut should be at the angle point. Next, you will rest the arm on the other leg of the spot you're measuring. Then, tighten the nut in the center of the arm and read the angle measurement on the ruler's head. When it comes to angled cuts, it's wise to follow the old saying, "measure twice, cut once." This level tool can help you measure angles precisely. At General Tools, we offer over 1,000 products to choose from. We're proud to provide merchants, artisans, and DIYers worldwide with a broad range of affordable, specific-purpose mechanical hand tools and precision measuring and inspection gear. • Angles below ~20º hard to use/read
Style: Square Head Pattern Name: Angle Finder
TLDR; Well-made protractor that lacks the ability to effectively read angles below ~20 degrees. This protractor is well-made out of thick steel. My only complaint is that when trying to measure angles less than about 20 degrees, it's essentially useless for the application I was using it for. I was using it to measure the angles of axe and hatchet blades, and luckily I only needed to measure around 23-27 degrees. As you can see in my attached photos, once you get down to <20 degrees, the long arm no longer creates a wedge/triangle in which to measure against the body of the protractor. You could still use it in other applications by resting the bottom edge of the body/measurement-part of the tool on a straight part of your project, and use the long arm of the tool to measure the angle. This is not ideal, though, when you need a space between the body/measurement-part of the tool and the long arm. ... show more

  • Angle wise
Style: Stainless Steel Pattern Name: Angle Finder
It's a angle guide to proof the angles for my metal cutting bandsaw and occasionally my table saw. It's very accurate and without readability flaws.
