I didn’t purchase this trim for looks but the generator looks better. I bought this trim to keep the chipmunks out it. Very easy installation. After attaching the 4 corner adjusters and snap the trim pieces together. The trim gives the generator a finished look and keeps the critters out.

Easy application, good fit, good color match . Can’t understand why Generac doesn’t include it with the generator . Shouldn’t have to pay extra for a design flaw.

Items were well packed. Instructions were clear and trim kit fit perfect, installation was easy and section snapped together with little effort, as another reviewer stated I think it would be easier to snap together above temps of 60 degrees.

    • Makes your generator look a lot better, covers shipping holes in the base
for some reason Generac does not provide these with its 18KW generators.. it comes with all larger generators. I have the 18KW model and love the finished look these give to the unit. It also covers small shipping holes at the base of the generator that are just the right size for mice to enter, something I certainly did not want to happen. ... show more

Finished the look off to clean design and helps keep the critters out of the bottom. Make sure the ground around the bottom is level under the generator edge to make it easy to install.
