Took almost 2 weeks to arrive from Germany (remaining in US customs for over a week) causing some frustration, particularly after requesting the seller expedite the delivery. However, the bread bin was exactly as described and we are very happy with it. It looks and performs as specified. It is substantial (not made out of flimsy metal) opens and closes flawlessly and is nice to look at. We shoved all our breads and rolls inside, all of which fit but cannot yet comment on how fresh it keeps bread. It is made in Germany (not in China) which is a plus, although we would prefer to buy American made products where possible. If you are looking for a bread bin, like modern designed products, value quality and are willing to pay more ( since I ordered the bin 0n 11/2/15 the price has dropped by almost $20 and will be requesting refund from Amazon) I highly recommend this product ... show more

    • Bread Bin Bomb!
Searched for years for the perfect bread bin for our kitchen. This blinds perfectly with the stainless steal appliances. It actually keeps out bread fresh. My be a little on the pricey side. However, it is worth it!

Bread bin looks great but ours made a scraping sound every time we opened it (sound of metal against metal). We returned it - good customer service.
