This is actually a great rolling pin. It took me some time to get used to the handles not rotating independently, but once I got used to that, I began to appreciate everything else about this rolling pin. The thickness discs are good quality and are easily changeable. The pin is nice quality and wider than most. The handles are covered in silicone and are easy on the hands. I absolutely LOVE this product! The thickness guides are the perfect way to get the perfect thickness every time. No more guesstimating and spending a ton of time trying to get consistency. The guides are easy to put on and off and the handles are tight and do not come loose when using. The guide rings are also thick, good quality material that can withstand pressure. It is easy to clean and use. Perfect gift to your favorite baker. It even comes with a little wooden stand to place it on when not in use so it doesn't roll off the counter/table. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because it could be a bit better if the handles were rolling rather than stable. I just find it easier when the pin rolls while holding the handles, but I wouldn't say it was a deal breaker. I haven't found another one that is as good quality is this one with that feature. ... show more

I love it because it works... My sugar cookies came out even and correct because of the measuring. I like that the handles insert into plastic rather than straight wood or metal as it makes it easy to clean. Also that the screw part of the handle is ok g- I've had ones that were too short that they would become unscrewed after rolling a while. ... show more
