In fact the entire system was less expensive than a couple of replacement bulbs from other companies.     • Good water purification, good warranty, but arrived with broken light (twice).
I have really been having trouble getting an ultraviolet light for my water purification system. From reading about this product it seemed to be just what I needed. But it arrived with one of the ultraviolet lights broken. I asked for a replacement ultraviolet light but they would not send me one. So I returned it and ordered it again. The second order had the same problem, one of the ultraviolet lights was broken. It is very frustrating and costing me a lot of aggravation and lost time. All I want is for an order to come with all of the parts in good condition. They need to concentrate on packaging their products so they arrive with all of the parts in good condition. ... show more

Like some others, one of the quartz tunes was cracked during shipment..Tells you one thing, these are very fragile. I used 1 inch pvc couplings, one didn't leak on first try, one did..Rewrapped 8 rounds of Teflon held, but is a pain because the entire system has to be installed to really know..Just passing it along.. There are 3 small zip ties included but not sure what for unless for electrical box/cord. Can't say about effective yet, but should know soon..Previously, home test showed no coliform, health department test showed coliform, no Ecoli. We'll see, hope to update within week or so on testing... The light will get the water scalding hot if not used regularly, even overnight..I looked online to see what methods others might be using but didn't find anything.. so, I put a box fan fairly close to tube and it did cool the water tremendously, still Luke warm but tolerable for the few seconds it flows.. Update on Coliform - came back clear after installing entire system. Don't know if the filtering alone wouldn't have cleared but the light is added protection anyway... ... show more

Was not to easy to setup, instructions are not very good, does not say how rubber attaches, first time it leaked bad , re did the same and did not leak second time, did not use transformer ..so not sure if it works. No broken tubes, I think, did not check them but no noise of broken glass.

1in in/outlet of tank. The ballast didn't has alarm function. 55w lamps. I am using it for Whole House and garden. I will give 5stars for cost Ran more half yrs, no Green Algae in pipe lines. great!
