  • 47*C maximum load, low 30*C idle
Color: Silver
i was looking for something different and this fits very well perfect fit and completely amazed with the quality. i put a Noctua NF-A4x10 5V fan on this, i never even tried the stock fan - i dont like RGB fans i had to remove the heatsinks on ram, USB, and eth but thats ok. i also got a 2x20 40 pin cable and a header extension to move things away from the board i use a canakit Rpi4B and just removed the top cover. everything still fits inside the housing. ... show more

  • Very Cool (pun intended)
Color: Silver
Works great for cooling a Raspberry Pi 4. I opted for this over the taller version mostly because I liked the potential for more heat pipe contact with the two separate 5mm heat pipes running through the cpu block vs. the single pipe in the tall version (https://www.amazon.com/GeeekPi-Raspberry-Cooling-Cooler-Heatsink/dp/B07V35SXMC). Setup: I took a dremel with polishing bit and polished the area of the heatsink that contacts the cpu on the rPi, and polished the top of the rPi cpu (probably was not necessary, but I already had the dremel out). I also applied a slight bend to the mounting brackets as to force the heatsink down a little more on the cpu. I only used the mounting plate and hardware provided with the heatsink. Did not use the included thermal pads, I used some silicone thermal paste I had laying around (it was Phanteks PH-NDC). Conditions: Ambient temperatures around 21C, powered with an rPi official USB-C power supply. Temperatures: Running stock settings, at 100% cpu usage temperatures remained under 34C for the 15 minutes I let it run. Using tom's hardware guide as reference overclocked to 2GHz (0.5GHz overclock) and over-voltage (0.15V) the cpu and ran at 100% usage for 20 minutes, temperatures never exceeded 44C. Compared to the stock 80C+ reviews out there for no heatsink, and people being happy with 60C+ with a fan, I consider these temperatures great! Cons: If there was one thing I could change, I probably would replace the fan, the color cycling is meh, and the brightness is borderline annoying, mine will probably get replaced with a less flashy fan at some point in the near future. ... show more

  • Amazing cooling fan!
Color: Silver
This is a great cooling fan for the PI4. I was able to overclock to 2.100 GHz. With the fan running at 5 volts, the PI never gets above 60 degrees even when fully stressed an all cores. The stock PI wouldn’t even do that at stock frequencies. The case is one I got on Etsy from the EsotericAvenue store. It provides great protection for the PI. ... show more

  • Only if you really need it
Color: Silver
Nice cooler, pretty rgb lighting and the fan isn't too annoying. Didn't get the temperatures seen by others, running a PI 4 cpu @ 2147 MHz, 1.0441V and 750 MHz gpu. Ran multiple cpu stress tests and the final temp settled to 54C @ 23C Ambient. Replacing the thermal pad for some Arctic MX-4 got to down to about 49C, didn't skim the face of the heat sink but it doesn't look perfectly smooth and that could help too. It's a little overkill unless you are running something cpu intensive. As a comparison I tested a Flirc case with the same settings, it settled out around 78C but tended to stay hot longer after the test due to passive cooling. ... show more

  • This little thing is awesome!
Color: Silver
I ran cpuburn for a solid 15 minutes straight with the processor on a Pi 4 Model B 8GB overclocked to 2147MHz and the GPU to 700MHz and the highest temperature I saw was 48C. I used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal paste instead of the included thermal pads which probably helped shave off a few degrees but overall this thing is killer if you're going to be making an emulation system and you need the best performance possible with high reliability. Two thumbs up, highly recommended. UPDATE: I saw another reviewer's picture of a case for this thing that he got on Etsy from the seller Esoteric Avenue. I had to have one. And I got one and it's awesome. The temps are exactly the same except now I have protection. If you're looking for a case for this low-profile ice tower cooler I highly recommend grabbing one from him! ... show more

  • I keep buying them as they perform better than others
Color: Silver
I'm a repeat customer that keeps buying this heatsink as it performs better than the other options. I've tried options of simple kit enclosures with fans, little stick on heatsinks, the large black full aluminum heatsink (with or without fans), or just vertically mounted and allowing passive cooling. Since my applications are going into unshaded outdoor enclosures located in hot southern USA locations, I need something that can efficiently dissipate heat, and this heatsink has won with my testing. Attached are photos of one application that required an external temperature sensor, and the RaspberryPi is mounted on a DIN rail mount. Old versions of this product came with a chap looking multi-colored LED fan, but I'm happy that the current versions come with a standard black fan that looks more professional. Only 1 out of 16 units has arrived with incorrect hardware, but the seller was good at allowing me to return and get back a replacement unit. ... show more

  • Runs quiet
Color: Silver
This runs quiet and keeps my pi running cool. The leds on the fan are not needed(rgb on everything iI guess) It will take about 5 minutes to install this onto you pi 3b+/4b. Pro: *Run quiet *keeps pi cool for retropie *active cooling Cons *stands offs are 2.5 6mm+ 5mm(2.5 5mm +5mm would of been better) *they want you to stack the thermal pads to get the right hight(wrong sized pads) *led on fan (this is more because i don't think it need) Notes: Most normal users will not need a cooler this big as most application will not stress the pi to get hot enough ... show more
