  • Love the modular design
Color: Brown
I really appreciated the modular design of this case. I had an old Pi and a new Pi 4 and wanted to keep them together. Of course, this case was NOT made with mounting hole location for the original Pi (which I should have checked, my bad), and the fan location would normally conflict with the video out of that board. However, the design made it very easy to just cut a new bottom plate from hardboard to the same size but with the correct mounting holes, and to flip the intermediate layer to put the fan where it wouldn't hit the video jack. Once that was sorted, assembly was not difficult and it works great. With the fans running, I don't think the heat sinks are necessary; without them, the Pi 4 never got above 65°C under full load and the original Pi doesn't even break 45°C, and they're both overclocked as high as possible. A downside might be that the GPIO pins are harder to get at except for the top-most Pi. Also kind of wish it had non-skid rubber foot pads on the bottom. Overall I think it's a great deal for a case if you plan on running multiple Pis under heavy load. ... show more

  • Great! Didn't know what to expect but perfect fit for my needs.
Color: Brown
I didn't know what to expect, but for the price, this was a great little unit and fit exactly what I need. Assembly is a bit of a struggle, but it's related to these fat sausage fingers I have :-). The instructions, as others have noted, are tiny - so take it a step at a time so you don't have to go back and change anything. Really pleased and loved all the heat sinks that came with it as well as the fans. ... show more

  • Cheap but quality product!
Color: Brown
I received the item will packaged and fully complete. Everything is as described. Everything is easy enough to assemble. An appropriately sized screwdriver is even included. But there is one problem with the length of the brass columns - they are long enough when using a Raspberry Pi 3/4, but when using an SBC of the same form factor but from another manufacturer, such as Libre Computer, they are at least a centimeter short so that when installed the screws do not come into contact with the live parts of the board. ... show more

  • Nice looking case, instructions could be better
Color: Clear
I ordered this case to build up a Raspberry PI kubernetes cluster and it is serving this purpose well. I did think that the instructions were a little hard to follow, but with a little common sense, you get there. I think that it took me about 45 minutes to assemble the case, which you build around the PIs as you go, so be prepared for that. You have access to the cards, so the OS can come later. The header pins become a little challenging to work with after the fact due to the compact design. ... show more

  • Love this Cluster Case

  • It works just fine once you figure out how it goes together
Color: Clear
At first it wasn't clear from instructions how it went together. The instructions said "screw the short standoff on" but it didn't make it obvious to use the screws in the bag in a separate bag from the standoffs. Looked at the pictures here and realized thats how it went and then it all came together really quickly. It does include a mini screw driver, but a small socket tool to get the nuts on wouldve been more useful. The tight spaces and small pieces requires you to just use your fingers and have some patience. Using this with pi4s and the loverPi PoE hats means 2 heatsinks wont fit. The fans will also hit so I skipped them. Some taller standoffs would solve this problem but if you are not using any hats, the standoffs in this kit will work fine with just the PIs. Also worth note that the short standoffs are different diameter thread than the longer ones. Don't expect the short ones to screw into the long ones and vice versa if you intend to stack them that way. You will need to get a different set of standoffs to do that. ... show more

  • Multi-Pi Case w/ Minimal Profile
Color: Brown
Best way to stack multiple pi projects all in one place. Utilized this stacking capability to place my PiHole/PiVPN/NasPi all in one consolidated location. Plus this option also allows for all of the different Pi’s stacked to breathe and be ventilated properly.

  • Works for the price...
Color: Brown
Fans and heatsink works great. Overall, the stackable open rack design is very functional and has tremendously improved the cooling for my Pi setup. HOWEVER..... Three of the plates have since broken on me with almost NO movement whatsoever. They're just incredibly brittle. Also, the mounting hardware is incredibly poor. My box came with some of the correct nuts/bolts, but not all. Some of the hardware is the wrong size or threading. Very odd. The standoffs are great on their own, the fans work well enough, the heatsinks are adequate like most Pi heatsinks, and the kits overall did what I wanted for a very cheap price. Overall, I give it a 3/5. Two of my plates are completely broken and unusable now, with a third having a corner missing. I had the missing hardware, so I didn't have an issue there. It's a meh from me. ... show more
