  • Quality set
Size: 2 Pc. Locking Flex Style: New Version
Smooth action, nice finish, good locking mech. Just as good IMO as the big tool truck brands ratchets. Only time will tell how durable they are but judging from project farms past tests on gearwrench tools I have hope they will last a long time without abuse.

  • Perfect high end ratchets at sweet price point.
Size: 4 Pc. Flex Style: Discontinued Version
I’m a DIY mechanic, and I wanted something with the quality of Snapon, but at a non-ridiculous price. I was tired of Husky and Craftsman garbage from local hardware stores. These nailed it. The turning action is incredibly smooth. The fed/rev switch works every time. The weight and quality is just right. My friend with all the pro tools was annoyed with how good these were, especially the large 1/2” ratchet. It took the axle nut off my minivan without the usual need for a breaker bar. The flex heads are helpful in tight engine spaces, but not too loose to be annoying like others I’ve used. Well done Gearwrench. You nailed the price performance on these fantastic ratchets. I included the picture with tape measure to help give a good sense of size. ... show more

  • Great strong wrench with 84 tooth

Great strong wrench and I like the fine 84 teeth. Works great in tight spaces.

  • Best value ratchets
Size: 4 Pc. Flex Style: Discontinued Version
I love the foam insert it comes in, I just left them in there and slapped it in my top drawer. Using this thing is as smooth as butter. It may not last as long as my Snapon ratchet, but I doubt it'll break in my life time especially as a hobbyist. Not to mention this ratchet set costs as much as one Snapon ratchet. I prefer the Gearwrench flex heads to other brands as well. Other brands are basically knuckle busters but haven't destroyed myself yet on these (knock on wood). Fit and finish is great and I highly recommend them! ... show more

  • Great for the price
Size: 4 Pc. Flex Style: Discontinued Version
A most excellent set of ratchets for a most excellent price. Nearly equivalent to Snap-On products, in my opinion. Got these over the 120 tooth version because the heads are just slightly thinner, and I honestly have never needed/wanted that many teeth. Updated: After owning this set for a number of years and subjecting them to daily use in an automotive repair shop, the long-handled 3/8" ratchet and the 1/4" ratchet have both chewed up their internal gearing. The 3/8" ratchet lasted a LOT longer than I expected, and got the most abuse of any of them. The 1/4" crapped out the fastest, and I ended up replacing it with an equivalent Snap-On product which in my opinion has an inferior design to the Gearwrench (thicker head, shorter handle, swivel head doesn't lock into place), although it does seem to have better build quality. For the price point they're still excellent, and even tool-truck brand ratchets fail eventually. I'll be seeking a warranty replacement on both tools as I have several local retailers who supposedly provide support for them. Just keep in mind that ANY PRODUCT is going to break eventually, no matter how well built. It's not a matter of if, but when. ... show more

  • Awesome product well worth the money.
Not sure why people are giving this poor rating because of the finish on it. It's a piece of steel that's gonna get beat up... Mine arrived looking great though, few small imperfections but its just cosmetic. Im a diesel mechanic so its gonna get ugly with use. Used the 3/8 ratchet today on tractor trailer slack adjusters and it performed amazing. The long handle gives you alot of extra torque and it ratchets so smooth with the 84 teeth. Have yet to use the 1/4 and 1/2 that I got, but if they perform as good as the 3/8 then it's money well spent. The tray that they come in is nice as well for keeping my box neat. ... show more
