Storage can be a big expense so we all do what we can with what is available. In my case its a far piece to reach the 30amp service (100 Ft). This 10 gauge cord has decent heft and nice factory ends for making the best of the shore power hook up. While I have the Hughes autoformer to assist with the voltage drop issue I'm going to add the Hughes power manager to get a better idea on the demand in real time via its bluetooth connectivity. The cord shows a much more stable voltage in the coach. It had been a cobbled together using a 12 gauge shorter run to a 15 amp service outlet. #1 reason to spend up for a quality cord with an industrial heavy wire and build. It will allow you to use your equipment with the largest safety margin on maintaining voltage. Anything in your coach that uses a motor can be dramatically shortened in service life AND cause a heat issue at the hook up junctions. Take the shore power seriously. Never assume the the supply camp or host has active monitoring. Even the 5 star camp ground can have issues creep in that does not get caught by the maintenance crew between visitors. A minimum I would suggest. Monitor your voltage in real time inside the coach with a simple 120v plug readout, when you bring on an air conditioner a hair drier or microwave it can easily overload your supply. ... show more
