Have been using it for 2 years. Plug/unplug every day and it's held up. Sometimes I drive off without unplugging it and I have yet to break it. Although I don't recommend on doing that...Also, one thing that I don't see on the pics but it's very helpful is the light that shows when there's current. Will buy again when I finally break it. I used it a couple of times last year. It is not "cheap." It is well made and easy/intuitive to use. It is mostly peace of mind for me, but after hearing horror stories of what can happen to your trailer electrical system when you don't have one, I bought it over others. I always wonder about water and electricity and not in a good way. My dad was an electricians mate on board ship in WWII and had horror stories about electricity and human beings and so, I don't do electricity other than plugging things in. When camping, I usually cover the pole with a trash bag if any rain is in the forecast. That's easy, eases my wondering, and you can use the bag when you break camp for trash instead of having to open the trailer cussing while you go find one. . ... show more

This is very sturdy and we like the handle - it makes it so easy to unplug. Works great because our garage has a 50 amp outlet and our camper is 30amps so this converter works perfectly.
