I had a G5 7.8 oz control. But it didn't give me enough power. Tried other paddles that were ok. Then I demoed several gearbox and this was the winner for me. Heavy enough for power, yet light and thin for hands battles at the net. Plus like the one piece solid construction fir durability.

I’ve gone through several different paddles over the years and have finally found a winner! With the edgeless frame no more miss hits. Gearbox technology is playing at a different level. Simply put, Gearbox is playing chess while the competition is still playing checkers.
