I will start by saying that I've never used a juicer before, so I'm new to this and have nothing to compare this machine to. I found the instructions easy to understand, and had no trouble disassembling the parts for a quick pre-wash, or re-assembling them again for use. The machine is extremely simple to use - turn the controller knob on, drop fruit in the top, and watch the juice come out. The only small issue I had is that the action of the machine did fling a few bits of fruit and splatter out the top as I was dropping more in. Note - wear an apron next time. I juiced some red grapes, a pear, and some semi-sweet cherries (which I pitted in advance!), all of which were past their best for fresh eating. I really like that the juicer let me get my money's worth out of fruit which was no longer ideal for eating outright. The juice was delicious! It did still have some very fine pulp in it, slightly thick and not clear, but I actually liked the extra body to the juice. Okay, sure, a lot of the components were pretty messy inside after we took the machine apart, but I was expecting that, and they weren't difficult to clean at all.     • A Good Basic Juicer But A Little Noisy
This is a good basic juicer. It works and you can collect and use or throw away the pulp that's left behind. Read the instructions - and be careful. The motor is a bit quirky and noisy. Start it up before starting to push any fruits or veggies in. It has 2 speeds, depending on what you're juicing. The torque is very good and it will make juicing easy. Don't force material in, let the machine do the work and not your brute force. Be sure to clean the parts after using, so you won't get sticky pulp and juice leftovers stuck on parts that later become hard to clean. I'm giving 5 stars because it works as expected. If you have some glass jars/bottles, you can make a batch, seal them with lids and have various juices/mixtures for a few days in the refrigerator. (Always check on how long certain juices/mixtures stay fresh!) As long as you keep it clean right after use, and let it dry, this juicer should last a while. ... show more

This is a great juicer to get you started, especially for the price. What I love about it: I already mentioned the price, but I have one that costs a lot more and it has the same set of pieces, just a smaller motor Easy to take apart and clean Smaller foot print than my other juicer It separates the juice from the fibers/skin What could use improvement This isn't specific to this juicer, it is for all juicers of this style, but the clean up is definitely a chore. The motor is pretty loud, but motors are loud in general. Considering the price, the parts that come with this are a bit thinner and cheaper. I was not sure what to expect when I ordered this. I never used a juicer before but lately I been into making wine and mead with store juice and I figured this was something I could learn to use. Well it was easy to use. With a couple bags of apples I was able to make enough juice when added with sugar water for a gallon of wine. Clean up was easy and the pulp I used with cooking. Apple pancakes is always a favorite. Havent tried any of the numerous veggie juice recipes yet but plan in it. ... show more

Like many centrifugal juicers, the GDOR 800W Juicer has several parts that are awkward to clean. That’s normal across brands. So, no difference there. The motor is a bit loud for me, but it juiced 3 apples relatively quickly so I didn’t have to tolerate it for too long. I tested this juicer with medium sized Honey Crisp apples and it did a decent job of juice extraction. The booklet recommend the 2nd setting for applies, and I was curious why. So, I experimented with both the 1st/Low and 2nd/High setting. Honey Crisp Apple Juicing Test Photo Explanation: mason jar extraction on 1st setting and Wonder Woman cup used the 2nd setting. There’s a clear distinction between the color of each result and I attribute that to the speed (and resulting percentage of extraction). Where the 2nd setting left considerably less fiber, the 1st resulted in more fibrous material in the collection bin. Both have their uses, have slightly different tastes (the mason jar/setting 1 is “brighter” and a tad sweeter in flavor since there is more juice and less fiber, understandable). What you do with the fiber is up to you and there are many recipes out there on the interwebs, but I used this one for composting since I only juiced three apples to test the juicer. To the left of the dial is a P, like several other brands I’ve had, but there are no instructions about this setting in the booklet. From past experience, this has been used for increased pulp. I am unsure if it is the same for this brand, as I have not tried it since I do not enjoy extra pulp/fiber in my juices. ... show more

For the price it’s worth a try for introducing juicing. Easy to put together, easy to clean, great capacity and makes a good amount of juice. Great value for the money if you’re a first time juicer.

    • Works well
This juicer works well and is easy to use. It has two speeds which is sufficient. I like how easy it is to use and I like that I can make my own fresh juice without any additives. However, because it’s a bit of a chore to clean I don’t see myself using it everyday. Likely I will continue to use it when I want to make more than a single glass of juice, but for just one glass, it’s too time consuming to clean it afterwards. ... show more
